I literally just removed mine, unplugging the wires on the console took the longest, rest was as you showed . Thank you

thanks for the video im doing the same on my 72 my tilt is worn out so ill be taking it apart i call it a COVID project lots of spare time this winter

I had “corvgreg” on eBay rebuild mine. He did a top notch job.

Real quick, that is a 12 point head on the bolt at the rag joint not a 16 point. Again great video sir.

This video was incredibly helpful, just did this exact swap for a 71 Vette where I upgraded to tilt steering. Followed your video step by step and honestly the job wasn't too bad.

If you think getting it out wasn't easy,, wait till you try and put the other in. Not fun. Rebuilt my entire steering column,, Tilt, 1970 C3.

The rag joint is giving me a hard time

Hard to hear what you are saying with the rap music playing. Any way to just lower the column so I can change my dimmer switch?

Where did you get the replacement column? Also - You can remove the rag joint sides on both the steering box and column before you remove the column from the firewall. Makes it easy.

@@OntheMarkwithMark You definitely stole it if you got it for 75.00. I bought a used one at the end of 2022 and it cost 750.00 and I still had to rebuild it. Be sure not to get one out of a junk yard unless you want to pay $$$ to repair it.

Where did you buy your new column from.

Yes, that probably wasn’t my favorite music selection so far. Some people want me to fill in the died spots with music and other people don’t. Thanks for commenting
