For sure all u see is the videos of the c230 where u take move ac line blah blah i freestyled it and im not a mechanic i got it up in the air with the exaust off trying to pull it out of the back flange groove its like an inch and a half but im about to look for that bolt apparently to get extra room cuz i didnt see another way of doing it without taking the whole peice off

I just did it . with 0 mechanical skills. on a 2007 v6 Mercedes c230. The trick is you gotta take off the passenger side engine mount after that you have just enough room to take the starter out through the top of the engine . Not the hardest thing I have done but it was a little challenging. Beats waiting 3 weeks to get an opening at a shop and being charged 800 bucks... oh and I didn't have to remove the catalytic convertor or cut anything ...
