😮 it amazes me how these guys get through heavy traffic kudos to them that they have the patience for that for me. I would never have the patience for that. I just be like get the hell out of my way and then just push the cars with the push bumper the ambulance had that even though that would be highly illegal.

CSL EMS is a first responder service, which means that they replace the fire department's role on medical calls. As a first responder service, they do not transport patients to hospital. As usual, Urgences-Santé takes care of that procedure.

Why does CSL EMS use an ambulance when they are not allowed to transport patients?

The ambulances they use are retired from other emergency medical services, so they're likely cheap to buy and maintain. However, you're completely right, it didn't make much sense for them to use larger vehicles, so that's one of the reasons why they're actually switching to Ford Police Interceptor Utilities to use as flycars. I believe they'll be keeping one of their Ford ambulances at the station as an option to use in a "worst case scenario".

From what I've seen at CSL EMS, the first responders communicate with the dispatchers in their first language, since most members are bilingual. For example, I went to film at their station on another day later in the week and they were communicating with the dispatcher in French.
