Fantastic organist, had the great pleasure of seeing him in concert at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral a few years ago, he played the entire programme without a single sheet of music in front of him, pure genius.

@nintnelavsalocin5173 You know, I wrote a "😉🤣" so it was a little bit of humour ! ➡Actually, in organ music, every great organist is the best organist ever, while you're playing his works : ➡so when you play Bach, to you, Bach sounds the greatest musician ever, and when you listen to Olivier Latry, you find him the best organist/ improvisator in the world, at the moment you listen to them ! 😉

You'r the best.

There is a marvelous Blu-ray video of Olivier Latry playing this piece on the restored organ of St. John the Divine in New York City. (Pro Organo BD 7250) I liked the idea of the chamber being lit so you could see when the swell shades were opening and closing. What would really be neat would be to attach LEDs of different hues to the pipes that would turn on when the pipe spoke. Can you imagine the light show!

@@Engineer9736 Mea culpa. I have seen (great) and heard (not so great) C Carpenter playing. The speaker setup he had was idiotic, for show not sound quality. Two large studio monitors would have worked better.

I'm _really_ not a fan of the styling of the organ, but the organ sounds good, and I'd play an instrument that looks like a pile of dog shit if it sounded good (and I was actually capable of playing the instrument). There are some very interesting sounds in there I don't think I've ever heard from an organ. And Latry is a wonderful player.
