Same. I struggled against magalor's soul ex bc I had no idea how to dodge the grand hammer attack that magalor uses.

Magolor Soul: "A sad shell possessed by the limitless power of the Master Crown, no more than a manifestation of the crown itself." At this point, Magolor is GONE. The Master Crown has completely taken over him. His plans of conquering the universe have gone out the window, and all that's left of him is, as the description says, a shell of his former self. He feels sorry for what he's done and wants to stop, but it's too late now. The Master Crown has usurped his mind with its unlimited power, and he is no longer in control of his actions. The crown now commands him to wipe out anyone who opposes him. And the only ones who can save him are Kirby and his friends.

With the series having a fondness for giant eyeball bosses that are somehow connected in the lore, I wouldn't be surprised if the source of the Master Crown's power comes from the same vein as Dark Matter, Dark Mind, 0², etc

Everyone remembers their first Kirby final boss, whether its C-R-O-W-N-E-D, Star Dream, Zero 2, Astral Birth, or IDF-86, its the point where you realize "Shit, Kirby is actually really dark!"

I was gonna say “I miss when Kirby games did that,” but forgotten land… kinda does that, it goes like this: Natural Plains Everbay Coast Wondaria Remains Winter Horns Oringull Wastelands Redgar Forbidden Lands Lab Discovera Isolated Isles: Forgo Dreams I think they were trying to spell “NEW WORLD” or something like that, but one, it doesn’t make much sense, and two, they just ended up spelling “new worli” which doesn’t make sense either.

When it comes to Phase 2 of Magolor Soul in rtdldx's true arena, it becomes blatantly clear that Magolor is crying for help. However, in this what-if scenario, it's too late to save Magolor from the Master Crown. Like, the Master Crown doesn't even break when you defeat Magolor Soul, showing that Magolor is forever consumed by the crown.

The greens greens leitmotif is one of the most epic ones that I have ever heard

People have come to agree that the letters in the worlds spell CROWNED, but the crown part is Popstar and there's a lot of SPACE between Popstar and Halcandra, so what if it actually says CROWN ED and is insinuating that the Master Crown went to therapy? Has anyone ever thought of this?

This humongous multi phased boss battle was the absolute biggest deal to me as a kid. It took me a lot of time to grind enough to beat it.

I emulated it years ago but it feels better to have it legitimately.

Y'know, I have to dispute the fact that Kirby games are supposedly easy. Parts of this game were extremely hard and I was dying quite a bit. Mass Attack for the DS requires you to get all the collectibles to get to the final boss and Kirby Canvas Curse for the same system is mind-bendingly challenging and is one of the hardest games I've beaten to this day. And then you have games like Epic Yarn for the Wii, which you basically can't die in. Sounds like Forgotten Land leans more toward the easy side. Easy Kirby games are fun but in my experience nothing is better than beating hard ones. Just beat this one tonight. And damn it was it fun.

There is a Reason Why I Fight To The Very End of the Extra Mode Just to Hear This Absolute Banger of a Final Boss theme I Always Return To the Final Challenge on the extra To Fight one Boss and One boss only and you already know what I’m going to Say *Magolor Soul*

So amazing!

Today was a good day kirby fans!

This song gives me so much nostalgia oh my gosh I love it

I like it perfect music for final battle.

Even though Return has a pretty simple story, I really like what it did with the bosses. It starts as a pretty simple collection quest to help a poor stranded alien dude and, without the hindsight of Kirby games tending to be more dramatic by the end, it makes sense that the game could end with Grand Doomer. I mean it has the final ship piece and it even has a Super Ability phase with attacks inspired by Drawcia (which oddly enough is usually saved for true true final bosses in later games). Then you get to Halcandra and its basically a fusion of Dynablade and Milky Wishes with someone tricking you into going off to fell a dangerous beast (though imo better since it's more interconnected and you actually have known the guy for a bit by now). You fight the final boss for reals this time but he goes down kinda easily and then boom! betrayal. Then there's that Kirby finale we now know and love with a shooter section followed by you having to fight the thing you spent the entire Popstar section of the game fixing. Then you fight Magolor straight up and beat him in an even more dramatic Super Ability section. But then there's yet another battle as the crown takes him over completely and uses Super Abilities against you. It's strange how this game more subverts the games that came after it, as they often are a bit more straightforwards with their goals and the gimmick sections often are at the very end of the final battles. This game has 3 fakeout final bosses and I love it for that.

@@bvision240 oh I have, love that game. I think it might be my favorite final boss simply because each phase feels like more of a story rather than "next video game boss phase"
