I really find Kotomine's and Caren's backstory quite depressing. Not only was Claudia's attempts to "cure him" had backfired but also Caren was left not having a father and mother to care for her.

If you think that's sad, then wait till you see how the church treated Caren. (SPOILER) Apparently, because she was never baptized, Caren was treated like trash by the Church. It was only until they discovered that she can detect people possessed by demons by imitating their symptoms. Afterwards, she ended up being used as an exorcist's assistant. Apparently they continually used her as a "sacrificial lamb."

what did you expect from a creator who misused holy grail as a plot for eroge? Which is why i have love-hate relationship with fate series. On one hand, you have the chance to see the manifestations of epics and legends. On the other hand, you have gender switch history. Arthur is okay, at least the change make it more interesting for her legend but Attila...WTF Attila become an alien???????????????

Carnival Phantasm is such a blessing. First Shiki being kicked for no reason, then Roa crying to Nero "You're such a kind person but nobody acknowledges your worth uwaaa" and then Cu and Bazett acting like a lovey-dovey couple outta nowhere. Really I'm losing it 😂

for those who are wondering that mushroom figure on the bank note 3:17 is a reference to a particular chapter in All Around Type Moon (Ahnernerbe no Nichijou) manga. Go read it it's hilarious. Did i mention it's a crossover gag manga too?

As an FGO player I cant avoid laughing at seeing Cu being slapped with money xD

First part was a satire of the Tsikihime prologue (when Aoko meets Shiki and gives him the Mystic Eye sealing glasses). The rest is a running gag playing on the fact Caren/Karen from Fate/Hollow Ataraxia is Kotomine Kirei's daughter (hence she has the devilish side behind her nice face). The kid is Gilgamesh, and Bazett is Lancer's real Master in Stay Night (who Kirei "killed") and who shows up in Hollow Ataraxia too. Kid Gilgamesh is from Hollow Ataraxia too.

I love that fate is poking fun at itself, with Nrvnqsr Chaos and Roa having a drink, and with the whole Lancer Bazette and Caren thing...Caren is awakening her Kotomine genes

Don't be sad, She gets brought back to life during the events after the war (Fate Ataraxia, which is in a way the only reason we know she exist's too as they never described her at all in anyway but just plain dead in Fate Stay Night, We even get the story of how Kotomine even got into a position to kill her and take her Seals in the first place, Only thing I'll say is she's a poor judge of character, She is a badass though being an Enforcer and all alongside being Lancer's Descendant)

Caren: Her trolling and abusive personality is comically exaggerated and Lancer and Gilgamesh often remark that she is just like her father Kirei. She also often has them around her all the time. Minute 3:11 Mr. Celular Phone

There's like 5 seconds at the end from Tsukihime (or more to the point Melty Blood) where you see Rin, the cat girl, who's Shiki's "Familiar". As for the Neco's...they are more or less original creations although 2 of them have been in Type-Moon works before. Those two being Neco-Arc (the one that looks like Arcueid) and Neco-Nero (the one that looks like Nrvnqsr Chaos and has Kirei's voice).
