C-OPN Updates Towards Accelerating Research

Currently, there is no monitoring test or disease-modifying treatment for people with Parkinson’s, and these kinds of breakthroughs won’t happen through a single lab or clinic working alone. Research expertise and resources need to be pooled together to tackle major challenges. The Canadian Open Parkinson Network (C-OPN), funded by Parkinson Canada and Brain Canada, functions as the Canada-wide research network for Parkinson’s to bridge together researchers, people with Parkinson’s, and data to accelerate discoveries.
During this webinar, Dr. Oury Monchi, the Director of C-OPN, shared an overview of C-OPN’s growth and the network’s vision for the future. We also heard from Laurine Fillo about her experiences as a provincial representative within the C-OPN steering committee, and Dr. Marisa Cressatti, C-OPN’s Knowledge Translation Lead.
