Where do they only put one coat of mud on? You’ve got to do 2 minimum to get quality results. Every finisher I know does 3 coats. A few even do 4 regularly, but I think that’s them being ocd lol.

I love how it just flips perfectly into the bucket

Back in my day we had to stir all that mud by hand.

Citric acid or restarted chemicals deconstruct the strength of the mud . You can hide with finish coat but not a good idea

If putting in some Palmolive was so great why don’t they make it that way from the factory?

The Liquid soap makes it smooth and no air bubbles don't know why he add the dry mix though. This method is great for smooth walls which are the hardest to accomplish.

cuando lo mezclas con tu barro y lo aplicas a paredes / techos, etc. terminas con un barro que no se adhiere correctamente y se despega de la (s) superficie (s) (de hecho) he visto dónde lo usaban los muchachos y ¡El barro comenzó a caer cuando el pintor y / o el dueño de la casa comenzaron el proceso de pintura! Se adherirá a los rodillos al desprenderse en grumos y luego tendrá que rasparlo todo y volver a pegar / volver a enlodar para corregir el problema.

El truco no es el jabón, el truco es batir bien como dos minutos, de arriba a abajo, también lo que es recomendable es una aspa o mixer de 4 aspas, para que no se chupe, pues la masa en si siempre se va a chupar, el polvo seco se llama durban y no, no es yeso, el durban se usa para rellenar las juntas antes de encintar o teipiar con lo conoscas, te lo digo yo que soy pro en estados unidos

@@faraonperez9143hola disculpa una consulta, que podré usar en una pared exterior tiene ladrillo la quisiera cubrir para hacer pared lisa aunq quisiera q no fuera 100% lisa que pasta me recomiendas usar o hacer ya que coloque yeso de todo uso y se quebró y donde vivo hay nieve que podría usar. Gracias también soy de usa y se me dificulta escoger el producto adecuado. Saludos😊

Drill is weak. Mud needs to be whipped up and I in 42 years of drywall have never put dishsoap in my mud. If it makes it easier then you should go to the gym. You don't know what that ethyl alcohol is doing to the mud. Do you need mud or hot mud? Big enough job it should dry fast enough but if you want it to dry use the hotmud. This is not some kind of new invention. I have spritzed setting type mud into regular mud but it really doesn't mix up very well like it used to. Why not just follow directions?

En Argentina se le llama enduido. Lo mejor para que no chupe cuando uno tapa grietas es ponerle yeso. Además acelera el secado. El cemento porlan también. Además se puede teñir para que no cueste taparlo al pintar.

El polvo es durabond creo q lo mixtea ahí para darle un poco de rapidez al secado ese polvo endurece en 20-30-90 minutos depende el q este usando

@@mccartneystuart I’m in the southeast, & have family in the business on the big end of things. All new construction on new subdivisions so they definitely go through a lot. Idk that much about their finishing cost cause I’ve done more hanging than finishing, but I know they do multi millions dollars worth of just Sheetrock a year alone so I’m sure the mud is right there close to it. Next time I go to the hardware store I’m gonna have to look & see if they even carry it 😂. Maybe I’ve just always looked over it because I’ve never seen it in a box. Do you know roughly what the price difference is in your area?

@@CornPopsDood I own a commercial drywall finishing/painting company in the central south. Here, the painters are the tapers/finishers, works out so much better that way. We used to do residential work decades ago until it got way too cutthroat then moved onto commercial projects. Retail cost here for boxes is around $7, we get it cheaper because contractor discounts. Buckets of mud is around $10. We do have both but box mud is so much more prevalent. I just came back from Maryland (not too fond of) doing small work for family up there and I could not find box mud anywhere which was hugely surprising. Not sure why certain geographical areas have one or the other. We are more keen to certain manufacturers of mud though and those prices vary minimally. Even those manufacturers only come in boxes.

I’m sure it could be ordered here, but I’ve got family that hang all year, & I know a lot of the finishers from working with my uncle over the years, but I swear I’ve never seen a bucket of mud. With the way prices of plastic buckets have shot up recently, if it was up to me I’d probably at least split the order, especially if the same manufacturer offers both just to save a little bit. That 3 bucks or so would add up over the year lol. I’ll have to ask some of the old timers if it used to be that way around here. Shit had me curious now. The shit construction workers find interesting is always fun 😂

You typically add water to your mud. When it comes in a bucket, you don't have room for the water. What this guy is doing is typical South of the border philosophy. Like adding sugar to you cement, makes it easy to work with and is ultra pure garbage.

Depends on temperature and humidity, and whether the windows and doors are all installed as well as if the HVAC is in and active. Variables, including climate and elevation, make a difference to additives.

Yo uso jabón y lijo también mis trabajos y. O tengo problema con mis ojos con jabón o sin jabón arden los ojos lo que tiene mucho que ver es cual lija usas especialmente cuando lijas los techos.😀

Up here in New England we had to tell the eses to stop that soap bs. Not good for the paint

Pues pueden ser dos cosas. Una es el mismo producto pero en polvo, es decir, aquí en México es redimix, que es lo que se le pone a las placas de yeso, lo hay en cartón así como el del vídeo, ya listo para usar, y también lo venden en polvo, para agregar agua. Supongo que el polvo es redimix en polvo. Y la otra opción es yeso, que acelera el fraguado del compuesto.

Es un producto en polvo de secado rápido como el de esa bolsa que dice 45 minutos también los hay de 20 y 5 minutos mayoría del tiempo es para trabajos pequeños.
