Technology had progressed just enough that it was starting to sound very musical and they were finding ways to get a lot of feeling out of it. But that production cost a pretty penny at the time, paid for by the expensive records, CDs and cassettes - I remember how much those cost. Now, the business is completely different.

Oh, wow! I didn't happen to come across that news before, but looking it up, I'm sorry to see it appears to be sadly true. She's been such a gift to us, I hope she gets the best treament and can be comfortable and well even if she doesn't return to the music biz. It be lovely if she could, but even if not, she's already earned our gratitude and prayers many times over for sharing her beautiful voice with us for so many years.

So true, Celine used her vocals do the talking instead of body to sell the song. She did have a powerful vocals, that I can hold the long notes in the big ballads (it took so long to practice it but I have got it.)
