It isn't a flute. It's a tin whistle, used in Irish folk music (a low whistle in this case). A flute has a quite different sound.

But he did not leave me alone. I feel him all around me. I am surpirsed that I don't find him in my bed when I wake up in the middle of the night. It is like his presence is still here.
