C-C REACTS TO CAPAREZZA- AVRAI RAGIONE TU ( YOU'LL BE RIGHT)
Todays artist is a famous Italian Rapper that is an artist who is a lyrical genius. This song was inspired by the portrait painting that is on the Berlin wall known to millions of tourists The song is inspired by the work of Dmitri Vrubel which depicts the kiss between the communist leaders Leonid Il'ič Brežnev and Erich Honecker.
Already in the title there is a play on words that explains the song: the author speaks in the first person saying: "Portrait" my positions; at the same time in doing this he introduces the works of the museum with a "portrait. This song is the second track from the Música Album (2014) by Caparezza.
After the video is played I shall try to explain the many metaphors and symbolic phrases that this rapper uses in the track that today is still so popular amongst his world wide fans.
Bio.
Biography Caparezza was born in Molfetta on October 9, 1973. Caparezza's mother was a teacher and his father was a worker and former musician, so Michele started playing music as a child. He studied accounting, although he dreamed of writing comics.
Italian singer-songwriter and rapper, is considered since 2000 one of the most talented music items on the national scene, for its great inventiveness and creativity in the composition of songs. Absolutely sui generis character, has been proven as conductor of tv formats, always a musical background.

I think some of the points made here have deep Italian cultural references to our politics that could be difficult to understand for foreigners. For example, he mentions CasaPound which is a fascist party (unofficially because the government prohibits any political party to be fascist). So when he says that "I have a Che Guevara t-shirt and go to CasaPound" he literally means that he is going to be beaten soundly because CasaPound (whose name derives from Ezra Pound, American poet and strong supporter of fascism and Mussolini) notoriously hates communists. Another reference to Italian politics is the northern league (which should be called Lega Nord and its members leghisti), a right-wing party that in the past was for the independence of the Padania region in the north of Italy. There is a huge irony in the part where he mentions Lega Nord because he says that he will support an independent Padania (which was Lega Nord's objective) so that he can call the Leghisti "extracomunitari". Extracomunitari by definition are all the people outside of the European Community (EU) but Lega Nord often used it as a derogatory way to call the immigrants and the "outsiders". So Caparezza is saying that if the Leghisti are outside of the EU, then Leghisti are extracomunitari too. This is an example but also in the next verses it is clear that Caparezza is being sarcastic and that he is making fun of the stupidity of the people who try to categorise him based on ideologies

Thank you really thank you for giving visibility to this amazing artist very underrated in my opinion. Even if ifamous in Italy he's still outclassed in terms of fame and sales by many other rappers way under his level and that's a pity. I assume you speak Italian because Caparezza is quite difficult to get even for Italians it's harder for whose wo don't know the language. His songs have so many layers it takes time to reach the heart of it, as a songwriter e definitely has something to say to the point that every song could ignite a discussion, he has a perfect knowledge of the Italian language and is well educated and it reflects in his lyrics where he plays with rhymes and rythm (that's lost in ttranslation I'm afraid), he can both rap and sing well, and he's a good knowledge of music, in fact every song has a different style, never simple or boring, there is always something unique in its production, he also plays with comination, for instance a serious topic matched with a funny music arrangement etc. Personally I love all his songs and depending of the moment I have a fav, these days I am sick for "Cover". I hope you 'll continue to explore this amazing artist, enjoy! :D

The first Caparezza's song I've ever heard was "Inno Verdano" live in Rome 2006 - he's a great artist and close to Vasco Rossi in popularity in Italy (until the recent surge from Maneskin). Like many Italian "cantautori" many if not all of his songs have a strong political message with very clever lyrics but his music is also very interesting and experimental.

BRAVOOOOO!!!!! I love Caparezza, he's a real artist! Every single album by Caparezza is a journey! I usually spend many months in understanding completely each Caparezza's album :-). Probably, my favourite album by Caparezza is "Le dimensioni del mio caos". I am a teacher and often I give a lecture to my students comparing Caparezza's thought and Rousseau's one :-)
