I have literally spent most of my childhood in the foothills ( Hasimara) - most of my Mother's side of the family has been in Tea. They also had land, one such was donated to North Point school ( Singamari) My late hubby was from St Paul's Darjeeling, then onto tea tasting before he changed career path. It's so different to see how far tea has travelled commercially , the number of varieties and how Makaibari has especially pushed the boundaries to Global retail. Also Glenburn keeps the hype alive. A simple cuppa Darjeeling, gently brewed was all we knew then :) :)
