Bahubali, RRR പോലുള്ള epic fictional, fantasy movies ആയിട്ട് compare ചെയ്യാൻ വേണ്ടി ആരും PS-1 കാണാൻ പോകണ്ട...but this is a must watch movie too. Historic movie ആയിട്ടും ഒട്ടും exaggerated ആക്കാതെ characters ന് എല്ലാം PS-2 ന് വേണ്ടി അവരുടേതായ story build ചെയ്ത് കൊടുത്ത് ചെയ്ത movie ആയിട്ടും കൂടി 3 മണിക്കൂർ പോയതറിഞ്ഞില്ല👌🏻 ചില normal scenes ഇൽ പോലും art work ന്റെ quality കണ്ട് wonder അടിച്ച് ഇരുന്ന് പോയി...especially ആ green forest and hut scene. My genuine opinion: 'Ponniyin Selvan' is a Classic Periodic Drama movie. Director Mani Ratnam has done a wonderful job where he given almost 90% sincerity to the novel. He didn't add extra contents to build up cinema for the entertainment purposes. You can feel this on the sets of palace durbar scenes where he could have built much bigger durbar halls or palaces as the budget have the capability to do so, even though he didn't. He kept the sets minimalistic that look so realistic. Each character has given their roles as almost equal importance for everyone, and the huge cast make the movie livelier. Everyone performed really well on their roles. Most importantly, in my opinion the best performed artist in this movie is dear Jayaram sir. He acted very brilliantly and still remain unsung. BGM Music and songs where in safe hands of Maestro A R Rahman. The BGM is lifting the movie to next level. The movie stands out from other Indian periodic fantasy movies like RRR or Bahubali. Don't expect big battles, strategies and action sequences. As this is not meant for commercial entertaining purpose it remains as a classic Mani Ratnam movie that we can watch it as reading a novel. Which means, the movie may not give you goosebump moments but make us involve in its story. The main drawback I felt is the CGI technics. On the wideness of its budget, they could have done a better job to get more perfection and some of the shots taken where not came up to that notch. This is where Indian cinema should change as it still struggles for the perfection for VFX (just compare the CGI technics of Harry potter released on 1996) Considering the movie as a whole, is a MUSTWATCH theatre experience. Even though it didn't leave us a question like 'Why Kattapa killed Bahubali', but I really wait for PS2 2023!!! Thank You :)

It should have been a 7-8 part tv show. Two movies cant do the story justice.

പൊന്നിയൻ സെൽവൻ 100%യോജിച്ച. റോൾ ആണ് ജയം രവിക്കു. Perfect ക്യാരക്ടർ. Perfect acter.. മറ്റെല്ലാ നടന്മാരും good perfomence.

രാജ്യവും, രാജാവും, മണ്ണും, പെണ്ണും, പൊന്നും നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട പ്രജകൾ മധുരയിൽ നിന്ന് കാട് കയറി ഇടുക്കിയിലെത്തി ഇന്ന് മന്നാൻ, പളിയർ എന്നിങ്ങനെയുള്ള ഗോത്ര വംശങ്ങളായ് നിലനിൽക്കുന്നു ..... മന്നാൻ സമുദായം വർഷത്തിലൊരിക്കൽ നടത്തുന്ന "കാലാവൂട്ട് " ഉത്സവവുമായ് ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് നടത്തുന്ന പാട്ടുകളിൽ സംഘ കാലത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും പാണ്ഡ്യ രാജാക്കൻമാരെക്കുറിച്ചും , ചിലമ്പതികാരത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും , കണ്ണകിയെയും , കോവിലനെയും കുറിയിച്ചൊക്കെ പരാമർശിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. പറയർ പാണ്ഡ്യ വംശജരരായിരുന്നു എന്ന് പറയപ്പെടുന്നു .. ചേരമർ പുലയരായിരുന്നെന്നും പറയപ്പെടുന്നു ...... ഈ യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ തകർച്ചയിൽ അധസ്ഥിതരായ് പോയ ഒട്ടനവധി വിഭാഗങ്ങളുണ്ട്. ആരാലും ശ്രദ്ധിക്കാതെ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ മനപൂർവ്വം അംഗീകരിക്കാതെ പോയ ഈ രാജവംശത്തെ മുഖ്യധാരയിലേയ്ക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവന്നതിന് അഭിനന്ദനങ്ങൾ .....

ഞാൻ കണ്ടു അടിപൊളി 👌🏻👌🏻 എല്ലാ കഥാപത്രങ്ങളും ഒന്നിനൊന്നു മെച്ചം, ഐശ്വര്യ റായ് 👌🏻😍😍😍

ഇന്നലെ fdfs തന്നെ കണ്ടു കഥ ഏകദേശം അറിയാവുന്നത് കൊണ്ട് വളരെ നന്നായി ഇഷ്ട്ടപെട്ടു അടുത്ത ഭാഗത്തിന് വേണ്ടി നല്ല waiting ആണ്. Twist കളുടെ ഒരു പൂരം തന്നെയാണ് ഇനി വരാൻ പോകുന്ന part

എനിക്ക് ps-1 നല്ലരീതിയിൽ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു. എന്നാൽ casting ചെയ്ത ചില കഥാപാത്രങ്ങൾ യോജിക്കാത്തത് പോലെ തോന്നി.war scene ചെറിയരീതിയിൽ കാണിച്ചെങ്കിലും അതെല്ലാം വളരെ റിയലിസ്റ്റിക് ആയി തന്നെ നമ്മൾ പൊരുത്തപ്പെട്ടു പോകുന്ന തരത്തിൽ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ആ സീനുകൾ പിന്നെയും പിന്നെയും കാണാൻ നമ്മെ പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ചെറുതിട പോലും നമ്മളുടെ മനസ്സിൽ ക്ളീഷേ എന്ന് തോന്നിപ്പിക്കില്ല എന്നതാണ് സത്യം. പിന്നെ ചില ഭാഗത്തെല്ലാം കഥയിൽ രഹസ്യസ്വഭാവം സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.പിന്നെ പാട്ടുകളുടെ അതിപ്രസരം വല്ലാതെ അലോസരപ്പെടുത്തി. പിന്നെ ഇതിലെ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങൾ ഏതാണ് ഏറ്റവും മികച്ചത് എന്ന് പറയാൻ സാധിക്കാത്തതാണ്. ഇതിലെ ഒരു കഥാപാത്രത്തിനും over ബിൽഡെപ്പ് ഇല്ല എന്നുള്ളതായിരിക്കാം അതിന് കാരണം. ഇതിലെ ഒരാൾക്കു പോലും അമാനുഷികമായ കഴിവുകൾ ഇല്ലാ എന്നുള്ളത് തന്നെ ps 1 നെ വളരെ റിയലിസ്റ്റിക് ആയി നിലനിർത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

മഹാഭാരത യുദ്ധത്തിൽ ഇന്നത്തെ Thajukistan എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ സ്ഥലത്തിന് ആളുകൾ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു എന്ന് പറയുന്നത് ഞാൻ കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്,,,safari ചാനലിലെ സഞ്ചാരത്തിൽ കേട്ടതാണ്,,പിന്നെ നമ്മുടെ southindian പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും നിന്ന് ഒരു ആളുകൾ എത്തിയിരുന്നു എന്നും പറയാറുണ്ട്,, Marco Polo ഇന്ത്യയിൽ വന്നത് safari channel ,,, history അന്ന് പ്രോഗാമിൽ കാണിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്

ഇന്നലത്തെ വീഡിയോ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ തന്നെ ഇതൊക്കെ കേൾക്കാൻ ഇൻട്രസ്റ്റ് ആയി. Aswin 🥰🥰
