Hello, if you allow me, it is precisely the principle of turboprops, reliability and lightness. The choice to use a turbine to drive the propeller, comes from the fact that these engines are much lighter and more powerful, the propellers do not allow very high speeds, but their performance is better than a turbojet which needs to land from a much greater distance, because the engines are heavier, even if they use the reverses, which makes it possible to reverse the flow of the reactors, which send back part of the flow of hot gases coming from the turbines towards the forward instead of drawing in cooler air from the outside, unlike a turboprop where you just have to reverse the pitch of the propeller to redirect the flow of air created by its forward rotations, it is for these reasons that the propeller is favored in the field of military transport for its efficiency, its lower rotation speed than a turbojet, it is precisely on this last point that aeronautical engineering has made great progress, as on the Airbus Military A400M where we have multiplied the number of blades and given a very particular shape as for the blade of a saber in order to improve performance, efficiency in theaters of operations, which is precisely what is needed for this type of device .
