No one could deliver a line like Pernell Roberts.. His clever, deft phrasing is brilliantly done. David Dortort, the producer was right when he said years later, that there was nobody better than Roberts as an actor, and he didn't appreciate him as he should. Pernell was a remarkable human being..
Pernell/ Adam was such an amazing actor. Such a beautiful soul. Rest in peace, missing you deeply.

That is "A Knight to Remember" which is one of the very best Adam episodes there is in my opinion and the funniest! If you like that part, you need to watch the whole thing! You will love it!

Love this beyond words! In case someone is collecting more, I always do enjoy the more subtle, but really funny encounter with Marc Twain asking him for a retraction of that "little contribution to literature", the article about a wild man on the Ponderosa, that made people chase a herd of cows with four of them ending up in a duck pond - he says it so softly, but at the same time so sardonically - it`s a little masterpiece of acting. And you just feel the" knock out" coming ...
From The Frenchman, when Ben turns to Adam after the Frenchman's tirade and asks what he said, Adam says something like, "Something about taking a bath in the public street." Lol!!
