Can't say I've ever seen a coach turn his back to a game winning fg like that.

I forgot about “ junior” Reno Mahe. Jenkins came back from that hit almost rejuvenated . Amazing

Ronnie Jenkins was a great tailback. 805 Reppin!

These guys hit so hard compared to today. You could see the hatred of the rivalry in every tackle. Hope it gets back to this now that both teams will be in the same conference again. Thanks for posting this. Many memories screaming back and forth at my friends house when we were kids!

In today's game, there's no way Ronny Jenkins would be in the game after the hit and there's also no way there isn't an ejection for Targeting.

I thought that, too. That would absolutely be targeting under current rules.

I'm slightly amazed at how many BYU players in that game came back to coach there. I counted at least four. Doink, haha.

Wonderful catch by some guy named Kalani Sataki. Guy won’t amount to much in life.

Yep I was at that game we were about ready to charge the field if he was going to make it in Celebration. I knew something bad was going to happen cuz I look down and notice too many guys were on field on BYU's defense

The way they hit and treated each other on the field back then, and the way the refs just let them do it, makes today’s players look like little girls... 😆

Roderick dropped so many punt returns that year. Feterik was better than I remember.

what was Jenkins thinking and why wasn't the guy flagged aftewards when he was grabbing him?

I never realized ARod and Kalani were teammates. In my defense, I lived out of state back then, and never heard a word about BYU football.

@@howardsmith9342 I'm just glad ARod is a better OC than he was a punt returner.
