New byrna user here. how long does co2 last in byrna after puncture?

The CO2 cartridge will leak within 24 hours after being pierced. Byrna recommends replacing pierced ones immediately.

@@eskimomarine2252 That sounds like they need better engineered seals to me..

@@YerBrwnDogAteMyRabit yes and no. Probably save money and weight for them. If you have to use it for defense, it isn't that much of a price to replace the partial with an unused one. When I practice, I just use keep shooting until depleted.

It's not recommended that you leave a pierced cartridge in because it can damage the seal. Continuously using though 1 12g can fire 20 shots. I personally got the SD With a 12 gram c02 extender. Not too certain what the performance differences are cosmetically the only differences I see is the magazine, the sights

Yes, the magazines are backwards compatible to SD because the dimensions are the same.

I like mine so far. Haven't had to use them. They are very easy to use and reliable from practicing. They are a little pricey.

It looks pretty good. I don't like the way to activate the cartridge. Is it physically smaller than the Byrna? That would be nice!
