    Thank you! I have a signal range extender already, I WAS looking for this device to boost my speed! But u convinced me it’s just what I already have! It even looks identical except for the labels!

    Thank you for confirming what I already knew about the device. I was skeptical at first due to the conflicting claims being made on the device. It appeared to be a simple repeater, and not one of the better ones either. Ironically, fine tuning my settings on both my router and my laptop and phone actually did the best to optimize my connections. Mind you, at the present I do not need any repeaters, but when I relocate to my niche farm, I will need repeaters to extend my effective WiFi coverage over my property. This won't change the underlying speed limitations set via my internet provider, but would allow me better connections locally without having to run wires everywhere.

    A data cap limits the amount of data that you can receive. Providers can do this a couple of different ways. They can throttle back your speed so that it takes longer to download more data, or they can prevent you from using your connection until your data cap resets. So it isn't designed to increase your speed. But as we see, it doesn't do anything.

    That made me laugh. Well, at first anyway. But then I thought of the many people who are being misled and buy these repeaters/extenders. You are doing splendid work with the exposure of these disgusting companies/people, who benefit from people, who most likely cannot afford the bits in the first place. Otherwise they would have got a better deal from their ISP. Another great video, Liron. Please keep exposing these crooks.

    And people are buying these things without knowing what it really is, and using these unnessecary repeaters in apartments and other densely packed places, and swamping out their neighbors wifi. So not only is this company lying about the function of this product, they are causing problems for those who are stuck using the 2.4ghz wifi band.

Everytime there is power outage/brownout, I kept on repeating the whole setup process from extender to the devices connected to the extender which is kinda hassle. Is there any tips you can share here like a short cut to have the extender and devices to just automatically reconnected to the router? Unlike with the router, when there power outage, other devices like TV, mobile, tablets etc that are connected to the router automatically just reconnected and no need to set-up. I hope the extender works the same way.

    So there are a few things to point out. You can be throttled speed even before you get what you paid for. You also quickly read that as well. However something interesting is, you actually can "sorta" bypass cap's but I don't know about for home internet. If anyone has ever used wifi tethering for sharing wifi they know those are capped even if you have an unlimited connection. Those speeds will throttle back, also carries do this if your over your data usage and no longer get the speed you paid for but the speed you agreed to be throttled back after you used what was paid for. HOWEVER with mobile you can mangle the TTL which counts how many network hops have occurred in such a way as to make your phone which is sharing the internet say that the internet coming from the phone by means of sharing is actually just coming from the phone instead which is not capped. Some carries may even require you to pay to tether as well. But it actually IS possible to be honest and you dont need fancy tools to even do it. Legality? uh not sure, you have to check your states laws I cant help you there. I do not recomend doing anything illegal tho.

    @joshuataylor73633 жыл бұрын

    I've been watching you now for a couple mo the and I love your stuff. Is it possible to bypass the speed your getting legally ? No. Can you bypass speed illegally yes 1. Clone mac address to another modem (Must know someone that pays for the highest speed) it then would think your that customer. Method 2: opening the encypted config file that the provider sends to the modem to match the plan you have. You then would decode the file, and edit it with the high speed program codes. (Must know these - a worker) These methods are both illegal. Now if your provider is throttling you phone speed, and they say they aren't, that's different and yes there are methods to bypass that.

    I work for a ISP (canada) fun fact, is that we actually over provision a customers speed because of some overhead that gets lost. 1gig connection usually around 1.19 gbps. Yes ethernet connection wont get that, maybe in the 900's sure. Someone on a lower 150mbps will be provisioned neat 190 mbps. Some customers end up getting faster speeds than they are provisioned for on their own speed tests on the lower speeds. Nothing is going to increase your speeds from the provider. fun video though I enjoy these.

    Spectrum told me that their data speeds are based on wired, not wireless. My WiFi speeds were in the teens at the worst and in the 20's at best. The tech tested it wired and it was in the 80's, still not close to the speed I'm paying for.

    Curious if your home router was connected directly (via Ethernet cable) to your ISP modem? If so, it might make a difference in speed if the extender was not also hard wired to the ISP modem. In any case, they've designed and advertised it as an "extender" that outperforms your home router and that's the way you've tested it -- I'm simply pointing out that I don't think the "test" set up was apples to apples.

    yes it was hard wired and they use the term extender and repeater interchangeably (just depends on which website you read their stuff on). I would have no problem if this was just a repeater - so its not a grear repeater, but its not a scam either. However, they are marketing this as "bypassing your ISP speed" which is obviously nonsense.

    God fucking damnit wish I found ur vid before I bought mine lol. It's nice that I can extend my signal because my place is made of old fashioned brick and mortar rather than more modern building materials. There are several dozen dead zones in my place cause my router is in my basement. Not really sure why my ISP didn't install a jack in my kitchen or living room. Anyways once I knew for myself the thing was a scam I got my money back and bought a five pack extender from my local Radio Shack. The 5 pack cost me the same as the single "isp blocker" that I bought. Now that's a deal. I actually think I bought more than I needed cause I still get a signal at my friend's house and he lives across the street and three houses down from me.

    Are you sure that device should not be called a Wi-Fi diminisher ? Lol... What a joke ! There are so many of those things in the market and this just shows me that they're probably all worthless ! I mean the thing actually made your signal half as strong! In what 10 ft? Good job thank you for doing this video!

    Aw man I got this yesterday and noticed the drop in internet speed. I thought it would better once I get an ethernet connection set up. Mine looks a bit different and has 4 antennas on it, 2 going up and 2 going down. That's what I get for trying to skip any wire pulling... I don't know why they thought no one would run multiple speed test to see if this was legit.

    Best way is to check that your cables to the router aren’t squashed otherwise it slows the data down.

    I tried one, but with my test I re-booted the router and connected via wireless. The speeds were doubled for my download and upload, but at that point the numbers were not enough to say. WoW WEE... I put the modem and Novitec in my parts box for now. Useless but my test did show a lot better than yours..mmmm... Maybe a hardware difference, can't say but I'm not recommending that thing.

    Back to my question about wifi6e router worth $500.00 3 level house. Just the router by itself or the Mesh (2 Satellites) saw your other video and it mentions just the wifi6e router but not Mesh. And really what the difference between them. Thanks

  • @dmo848

    @dmo848

    Just get mesh. U obviously don't understand wifi. Lol wifi6 is just the newer speed that is becoming standard soon, that is all. Mesh network is basically a bunch of router's put throughout your house so you have constant fast speed that's what you probably want but yes they cost a little bit more than a normal just one regular router because there is the option to add others or some of the mesh routers come in a package of two or more
