For three years I've been collecting all the stuff to build the inside. By my birthday at the end of March I should have enough saved for my van. I will be 60. Can't wait.

I was 66 on Sunday and have had my first 3 nights sleeping in my self built camper. A small Toyota hightop. Yes I'm in New Zealand. I brought her last year. I call her SH Annie or Second Hand Annie made of recycled everything except electrics and plumbing. So much fun. But today I'm having to redo s section of the ceiling. It's got a sag, ha ha. All fun games and occasionally tears. But I'm loving my play house. 66 going 6 years!😊

It's not "just a van". It's your home. It has kept you safe, kept you mobile, and it has kept your secrets. You have been through so much in your home. When you first moved in and were a self-proclaimed "Pavement Princess" you were discovering the very tip of the iceburg...YOU. And now you have completely changed into a flannel wearing, dirt road traveling, adventure seeking Dude. Of course you love your van. It's the home in which you were formed.

Super excited to see the new paint. I'm about to buy my van and it looks like I may be living in it before I even start the conversion. Wish me luck

I often think if the previous owner/owners would see how amazing Chrome has made their old van and how much joy it would give them. That love must flow through them too. Truly is a special van. Looking forward to seeing the finished paint job!

My family lives in Houma and Gray, Louisiana. I live in Florida. I am looking for a van, so I can commute between the states when I retire in eight months. I hope I can find and buy one soon. I don’t need anything fancy. I can’t wait to travel! Been stuck in Jacksonville Florida all of my life. Time to get on the road! I like the way your van is coming along. @@laurahudson8210 one son had major damage to his mobile home and he is residing with my younger son for now. My youngest son is still not working, due to his job having no electricity as of yet. They’re hanging in there. I had to cancel my flight there for my oldest sons 32nd birthday. Sigh… Thankful for no injuries.

I know exactly what you mean about your van chrome Iv owned my litttle Opel Astra van for 11 years and absolutely love it still . Its mainly original paint still apart from a few areas iv re painted .ie. front and rear bumpers

I like the look of your van without the rooftop carrier. You don't need it, you have plenty of space for your stuff. If not, maybe its time to consider renting a small storage space again for your seasonal stuff... Or a storage unit big enough to park your home in... Or a shop.

Chrome, you might want to start putting sunblock right on the very top of your head. In one shot in this video, the very top of your head is really red. Maybe start wearing a hat when out in bright sun for long periods. Can't wait to see your finished paint job--I know it'll look awesome!

It looks like it’s going to be a lot of work for the guys…But I’m sure it’s going to look great.

My roof had some rust areas starting and I had those truck liner guys, rhino liner do my roof. It turned out great. It was a fifteen passenger silver flame down the side great looking wheels and the black top was wild. In the desert I was afraid it would heat it up. It really kept the heat out amazing.

I wish I had people in my life to help me with my van. I have to tackle a bunch of michigan rust because the bottom half of my van is now rusting away. I also still need to install a diesel heater that is waiting at my PO box before it gets even colder. I want to redo the outside of my van with raptor bedliner once I remove all of the rust and find a way to do the body work. I live in mine full time so I need to find a place to park and do all of the work by myself.

"Be a man, drive a pink van" That was hilarious and teaching at the same time. l was a bit worried for doggy, he was in rocks, no grass. Does he have a bed? Maybe you could give him a softer place to relax. ☮
