Ah, the memories! When I was a small child, my father would put me in his lap, then place his ukulele in mine. He'd finger the chords, and I would strum as we sang Bye Bye Blues.

My quartet competed with this song in 1996! It didn't score well for contest, but it sure was fun to sing. And this is the exact same version, note for note!

Some of Platinum's version was inspired by this older version. I sang this version when I was a kid so I have an attachment to it.

Fun note- in the late 1960s the Suntones stayed with my family in Ottawa, when they came here for a show.

I believe I first heard you on an episode of the Texas A&M Barbershop Harmony Time podcast where they played a few of your arrangements - Have a Little Talk with Myself among others. I have cried just twice in my life listening to music. The first time was hearing Maria Callas sing Ave Maria, and the second was hearing you sing Among my Souvenirs. I played this podcast episode on repeat for months. In the years since I have never been able to find your version of Among my Souvenirs - on your Spotify, KZread, on any of your albums - and the podcast no longer seems to list its episodes online that far back. Is there anywhere in the world that I can obtain this, or have you made a version more recently? It has lived rent free in my head for a decade. Long shot to ask here but giving it a try! Thanks so, so much for sharing your gift with us all these years.🤜🏽🤛🏽
