The 2024 BYD Qin L DM-i boasts a 1.5-liter engine delivering a maximum power of 70 kW. It features an electric motor with two power options: 120 kW for the more affordable variants and 160 kW for the higher-end models. The torque also varies, with 210 Nm for the less expensive versions and 260 Nm for the premium ones. This hybrid vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds for the lower-spec models and 7.5 seconds for the higher-spec versions. The top speed for all variants is 180 km/h. The Qin L DM-i comes with two battery capacity options: 10.08 kWh, offering a range of 60 km, and 15.874 kWh, providing a range of 90 km. In terms of dimensions, the sedan measures 4,876 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,675 mm in height, featuring a wheelbase designed to comfortably seat five passengers and equipped with 19-inch tires.
The Qin L DM-i is a mid-size sedan built on BYD's DM (Dual Mode) hybrid technology platform. Initially introduced in 2008, this platform saw its fourth generation released in 2021. The DM-i variant focuses on energy efficiency, contrasting with the DM-p, which is oriented towards performance.
