Much as some of these comments would point out otherwise, the law is, slow down, pull over - not keep going in the other lane.

Yeah. ESPECIALLY on a super highway where the incident COULD BE right on that road. Whenever I see an emergency vehicle I attempt to pull over and come to a COMPLETE STOP as soon as I can. Of course I would also drive onto the sidewalk or very close to the ditch if it was necessary.

Used to run with Lexington when I was in college, back when it was volunteer. Brings back memories of running calls on 81 near there. Thanks for your service and for posting.

we cover 110 square miles here in southern illinois, 3 stations. But being volunteer, we have to get to the station first too. I live 5 miles from 1, 6 from another, but 13 from the last. so its 13 minutes regardless if the wreck or fire is by that station.

Whoever is running the Q needs to stop holding it at top speed. it is a siren, not a horn. Sirens are most effective when their sound goes up and down, most likely to get motorist attention. When it is held at top speed it becomes background noise, like the sound tires make on interstate pavement. Also, blaring the siren and horn on the interstate when everybody is in the other lane and going faster than you doesn't really seem necessary. As always I still enjoy these ride along videos but the Q and horn gets annoying after a while.
