Lyrics:
(Kevin Abstract)
Who let the dope boys out?
Thank God you let me crash on your couch
Who’s my god that I'm praying to now?
Early 2000s
They tried to jump me in
Latino protection
Any direction
You gave me your blessing
A Texan I text him
I told him I got him
I told him I made it to Hollywood
All it took was a summer to fail
A platinum record not gon’ keep my black ass outta jail
Truth prevails
This is real
Miss my brother
I love my mother
Drove all the way to Cali just to check up on me
Made her go home
Felt the virus
Web of life is my weed
False dreams stripped by silence
Deals they had us sign, for years it had me blind
Think I had to hit rewind and think about why I do shine
Got my cousin doing time
He was barely pushing dimes
My whole family cursed
Now get the fuck out my ride
Now get the fuck out my ride
Get the fuck out!
Now get the fuck out my ride
So get the fuck out my ride
Get the fuck out!
(Danny Brown)
Live from the gutter
Blood like red paint spills
You n****s ain’t alpha, you incels
Normies ain’t a part the script
Dox ya house with Crips
Pop shit and Imma get content
A constant
Where to begin
A veteran with medicine pen
Let ‘em all in
I treat ‘em like they next to my kin
Checking ya chin
Way before the record begin
N****s blow a lot of smoke like they breath in the wind
Ain’t no pretend
Tell you how it is, how it go
What do you know when you start escaping your soul
White on the street
Walking the beat like Abbey Road
Truth be told
No such thing as a real n**** mold
Through the light camera
Action, glamour, glitter and gold
No peace on the street so I’m clutching my heat
Gotta watch for the savages roaming the streets
(Kevin Abstract)
Yeah n****
We back up in this thing
Yeah, New Machine
(Jabari Manwa)
They said I’d never ever see the sunlight
I thought I’d never ever see the sunlight
They said I’d never ever see the sunlight
(JOBA, Merlyn Wood & Kevin Abstract)
Sometimes, it drives me crazy
Look at the sky
That’s all I got for you
N****s
That sunlight, it’ll drive you crazy
What is God to you n****s?
God damn, motherfucker, uh

@@chriscueva1866nah, I’m a newer fan who got into them because of BOOGIE and SISTER / NATION but quite honestly Sat 3, as good as it is, isn’t as good as RR because it lacks the consistently amazing ballads and hunger from the band for the lyrics. @@Herm33 that he didn't relapse and go back to old ways, addicts in recovery were having a really fucking rough time with quarantine. All of the stuff that helps keep them going and stay away from their drug of choice was shut down. Public AA/NA meetings, gyms, jobs, being able to see friends and family, therapy... All of it was in some way limited or completely shut down for a while. Danny has said he stopped doing drugs and shit, and you can tell he's serious because he looks and generally seems so much better. It's just good to see 2020 didn't compromise that for him, because it did for a lot of people. Hell, I'm amazed I made it through all that shit and kept my clean time.

2 years since i first saw + heard this and it's still one of the coolest things ive ever seen, easily my favorite MV of all time. grin machine's work is consistently amazing and this is no exception. i feel like i cant even do it justice by trying to put words to the visuals here but they're so cool idk how else to describe it, also a really good example of using AI in an artistic way ykwim?? it's being used here as a tool for the art instead of a crutch that makes it for you. this is my fav BH song aswell so this whole thing is just a 10/10, actually flawless. the beat is incredible, idk how many people know this but it samples merlyn's verse on an unreleased remix of BLEACH which is cool asf imo. like i said i have nothing negative to say about this song it's genuinely a genius work of art
