I hit a "mother load" of vintage at my local Goodwill the other day - it was fantastic it was all 1955 to 1977 - loaded with stars - I mean some of the cards have issues - but I bought like 20 packs of 50-100 cards per pack for only $2.99 a pack.... Look - I went home and opened them and I was stunned - I found a 69 Ryan among other crazy cards - a 71 Reggie - just totally loaded with stars and rookies. Gary Carter, Mike Schmidt, Carlton Fisk Rookies - just so much great stuff - so I went back and bought the rest of what they had.... I mean I was only at Goodwill to pickup a dress shirt for my brothers wedding but I wanted to have a look at the cards and I was STUNNED when I saw vintage packs.... It was a great find and I will be going back tomorrow to has another look - to see if they bagged up anymore vintage - because for $2.99 for a mystery pack I will take them all day everyday, lol.... I'm really shocked at the cards people will donate to Goodwill ...... Look, people die and the spouse or children just donate the cards.... It's crazy!!

I actually used to work there (at Goodwill) and I know they operate - so I will be going back this evening or tomorrow so hopefully they will have more packs/bags of vintage .... But hey, once I saw a 75 George Foster and various other 60's and 70's stuff on the fronts of the packs/bags - I was sold - they had 20 or 25 packs at $2.99 (50-75 cards per pack) a pack grabbed all of them - and I only went there to get a dress tie, but I saw the cards .... I'll be going back this evening or tomorrow to see if they refilled that "rack" of cards with more vintage because I kinda cleared them out the other day, lol...

This was my second card show in 25 years. The amount of brands in shiny packages is simply impossible to keep straight. I ended up getting a 1961 Mantle. But more importantly, my son got to meet the Sports Card Investor there.

That's exactly why I got into vintage, too. Wish I would have collected it as a kid rather than the 80's and 90's junk wax stuff.

Glad you made it out to Colorado. Not as much vintage out here. Bummer that I missed you on Saturday. Was hoping to get a book. I had a good time, but so much modern basketball and football that doesn’t really do it for me. Got to get to a more vintage show.

Great video and pickups! I am currently bidding on a 56 Mantle on eBay, but I also love that 55 Bowman. I may have to pick that one up next.

Get a Sony a 6000 series camera, somewhat cheap but helps the quality a ton. Lens blur kinda sucks though

Nice grab on 1992 UD Heroes Bench/Morgan Auto card - this was the first ever dual signed autograph insert card; I have one graded PSA 6, Auto 9. Finding one with a AUTO 10 grade on those cards is VERY TOUGH. Looking for one for over a year now.

Look I'm not trying to criticize or anything I'm just saying from back in my day - Layne was the band... Go checkout the song "love hate love" or "man in the box" - Layne was so great...

As history goes...70 years is a short time...as hard as it is to believe. Over the pond as they say, 200 years is a short time when you consider how long it's been around. Still, it's crazy to find thing in great condition!
