After 3 decades of buying luxury watches I can personally say, I’m addicted to the chase and buying experience. I have so many watches that just sit and I occasionally wear. It is definitely a medical condition of buying , shopping and chasing. The watches are irrelevant. 😂.

I too suffer from this strange sickness. Got over 50 luxury watches, but wear a Seiko almost every day. I need help. Last month I wore my gold Daytona for the first time, but that’s only because I was meeting with a new AD and wanted to make sure I was taken seriously so I could buy yet another watch.

I was lucky enough to pick one up at a local AD last week. It is an amazing time piece. It fits very well on the wrist.

Grreat episode Niko... Obviously this is the same AD ( don't worry I won't mention the name) as I recognize the showroom with that helmet and two vases from the Pepsi episode. It's really cool to develop a relationship with an AD and the fact that you love to travel makes it even more fun. Congrats on a real classic mate

Very cool. My dad and i hunt watches together. Last month the Ad called and said they had a 41mm black sub date. We turned it down and said we are hoping for the green. I stopped in for a chat a week later while they had nothing in stock. A week after that i got another call and they had the 41mm green bezel waiting for us. My dad and i meet at the store and he purchased the watch. Lucky for me he is kind to let me borrow it if I want. Haha. Enjoy!

Really happy that you got the watch... with that said, this is BS! You flew to the US from the UAE to buy watches that I’m sure have a list at least 3 pages long. Think about the logistics of this pickup. U mean to tell me that they won’t hold a watch for a day but they’ll hold two. While you book a flight from half way around the world. The AD is BS, but congratulations! I actually am Happy for you!!!

Agree. It’s almost as if they cater to KZreadrs for the publicity. I’m super happy for Niko but it’s totally discouraging for all of us who wait years and years and never get any attention from the AD’s. I too could literally fly anywhere (and would) for a sought-after Rolex but I have no social media presence or connections. We’re just mere mortals.

Congrats brother! I got called this last Friday by my AD for the black sub/date and have only been on their list since last September. On top of that I have absolutely no sales history with the dealer so I was even more surprised. They asked me what I wanted next so I said "Pepsi" with my fingers crossed lol

I guess it was, and I'm truly happy for TDE! However, I just wonder if with the travel expenses included, and the customs charges in UAE, you are basically paying the same price as buying it directly from a local grey market dealer? Nevertheless I would do it exactly as you did, as I've got the travel experience at the same time! Good for you TDE!

Congratulations, but I am seriously jealous ^^ You give good advise at the end but building a relationship with an AD, if it is based on money you will always find a bigger customer. For example my AD sells Rolex and various other brands. I bought one OP to him (quite a "small" Rolex" but I love it) and I felt frustration to understand there is no way I can get a GMT for 2nd purchase with this only watch. I could have bought my Reverso to him but I preferred to go to a JLC's AD. Was it a good move ? I think it was not but anyway was it enough for him to "judge me worth" a Batman for 3rd purchase ? I have no weight regardind a Day date customer for exemple. Last detail, I might have chosen a too big retailer... Any idea on that ? Cheers.

Congrats. So happy for you. I have a GMT and 2 Subs from 7 years ago and in 2020 got the DJ 126334 and OP yellow dial. There is only one AD in my Country and since they don't give me a chance to buy the Hot pieces, told them to go to hell. Will not worship them or Rolex. Switching to Omega and others now.

I see you’re are pretty smart traveler…fly economy and use the rest of your money on Rimowa luggage and Louis Vuitton damier duffle bag and of course great watches. Great video

Good point. He doesn’t say who’s the AD which one would think it’s the whole purpose of his video. I’m guessing the trip is worth 2k or more but losing two days of travel time. Cermit II at retail is 9k and 18k in the secondary market. So, no, he still wins!
