yes, that is kinda weird since we are only getting one more breed this year (swedish warmbloods if i remember correctly) and we still have 4 months so they could have spred it out a bit more. Of course i am not counting halloween and winter magic horses. But overall we got only 5 new breeds this year which is less than 1 per two months, and i think it is an improvement from last year and years before ^-^

The horse and tack and storyline and update compartments should definitely sync up a bit more~

Whoever told you to say "fluent" when describing motion corrected you wrong. Good motion is described as "fluid". The term "fluent" refers to good use of language. So don't be embarrassed, you were right!

I think the character update changed everything. We looked already kinda big on the Gotland and Welsh (and Welsh are type B, which means 1m30 max, so very small) but the character update made us look bigger on every horse imo. Overall I like this pony but it’s very disturbing how big we look on them. The coats are very cute too

I think if you have the thinnest character you would probably be in the 20% range, but if you had a bigger character, I agree, you'd look way too big :( even with the thinnest character though, you look like you're as big as you can be for the pony to be comfortable, like you're at the top end of their range , which does annoy me. They definitely need to add heights imo.

agreed. the pony itself is so cute and was nicely done, but the characters just look so out of place. sadly, I won't be buying one because of that reason.

i used to ride a dartmoor called charlie he looked like the bright/light bay one the messy mane styles are very accurate. I love the feeling when a horse comes out in sso and reminds u of a horse from irl. I think sso did a great job w these and im defo gunna get one :)

It feels like when the Belgians came out and than a month later we got the Tennessee walkers and it felt like we didn’t get to enjoy the Belgian fully and it felt we were rushed to the next horse.

I honestly love these ponies so much. Not only are dartmoor ponies my 2nd favorite breed irl, but I feel like star stable did do a really good job. Especially with the coats. Also, I bought the dapple dark bay dartmoor and named her Coffeebean

Really enjoying this video. I was surprised when they said they were going to put a Dartmoor pony in the game! I'm from Devon in England, and I've seen Dartmoor (and Exmoor) ponies - they are TINY! Or the ones I saw were. They live on the moor, genuinely wild - it never occurred to me that people could ride them. So I did some googling and found there is a ride-able version which is bigger - but they're still on the small side. I can imagine they're ideal for small children - but I totally respect everything you say about the 20% rule. I wish people weren't so easily offended by the suggestion they might be too big to ride a certain type of horse! Even in the game, they tell us that it was the Shires, the Percherons and the Freisians - all very big horses - that were used for heavy duty riding and labour. So I don't see why anyone should be offended to find that most horses have a hard limit on what weight they can safely carry. SSO hasn't helped with their idiotic stance on inclusivity. While it's nice to see a range of body weights, the weight rule and the child proportions of the new avatar made me think it should actually be slightly shorter than the previous one.... but instead it's like two scales bigger than the rest of the world. I chose the smallest body type (looks like 13 or 14 years old 🤦‍♀) and she's still disproportionately bigger than the NPCs. And it's entirely a matter of scale. REally wish they'd fix that...

The Dartmoor at first reminded me of the Haflinger since I saw a spoiler from c.c creations. But the Dartmoor’s are so cute 🥰 Love this video Amelia 😍

I have to admit when I first saw them they were really small which is not a problem at all I mean they are ponies, but their build and coat colors remind of a Haflinger and a Gotland pony combined I still think it’s a cute breed and I named mine Autumn air since October is coming up and and the autumn breeze. I don’t think it’s a bad horse or anything but since I don’t ride ponies like that I don’t see myself riding it that often✨

I agree about waiting to see new models in game. Really disliked the Lippy from the spoilers, but changed my mind seeing them in game. As to riding so many things come into play, the rider's fitness, balance and experience for example. Not as simple as people may think.

Fluent tends to be used to describe a high level of competency when speaking a language, so you'd be more likely to use fluid in terms of movement 🙃

@@corn_on_the_cob18 As someone who speaks multiple languages at varying levels of fluency and IS ALSO an irl equestrian, I prefer 'fluent' for languages and 'fluid' for horse movement, haha

I am 5’7 and I am riding a 14.1 welsh quarter horse cross, every pony is different.

I dont think its offensive to say that we look too big for the ponies, sso is kinda promoting animal abuse by saying that you can ride any horse no matter your height/weight, in the past they used to make the ponies bigger (the connemara and the old welsh) but Gen 3 ponies are super small and now they made our characters bigger 🤦‍♀️

i love the new pony dont get me wrong but it is literally the haflinger. it doesnt look exactly like it but if you compare the animations its the EXACT same which annoys me but im only getting one because it reminds me of rolo from harlow luna white x im getting the palomino arabian for popcorn and getting a white big horse for panda lol x

ok yk what i was shitting on them for being way too short n just hated the mane, but if i chop off the main/button braid it id actually consider buying one... if we get a more unique coat varient. the coats are too bland for me
