Just wanna say im very grateful for both of you and this Flycast. I know its not easy for Maniac but truthfully it helps me hearing about his situation cause im in a similar position right but we have dealt with things differently and we have different mindsets in areas but also the same in others. Thank you guys especially you Maniac for being so open and honest about everything you feel and go through in life. It means alot more than you think. Even to people who havent or wont ever comment on a video

Niac I def feel that being up at night and being motivated and waking up and wanting to just chalk it. It’s just as simple as forcing yourself no matter what. Gotta hold yourself accountable even if the mind and body doesn’t want to. I’ve gone through those times and I just countdown from 5 and get up. Just tell yourself imma get up and go on 5 and do it.

Congrats on the house Niac! This last October was the first year celebrating my grandmas birthday after she passed. Hearing you talk about not having the energy to call your grandma for her birthday hits hard because I was the same way. I don’t want to get all sappy and what not lol just don’t take those calls for granted🫶🏼

Whenever Nick talks about his struggles with mental health, it becomes increasingly apparent that he needs more support than just himself acknowledging he has a problem and forcing himself to fight it. Depression goes much deeper than that, especially in the situation that nick describes of the recurrent bouts despite no apparent trigger. It’s pretty apparent he could use chemical support and there is absolutely no shame in needing to be on a long term medication as long as it works; he’s mentioned being on antidepressants before and said he didn’t like them but there are so many different ones and they all require quite a bit of time to really see an affect so I’d really encourage him to work with a doc he trusts to find what works. Also the podcast is so frequently sponsored by BetterHelp and I think Nick needs regular therapy. He’s doing well by acknowledging how he’s feeling and we’re all grateful that he’s transparent about his struggles but if he can’t fight through it with just his own knowledge, it’s time to enlist the help of an expert who literally teaches you how to dispel the negative thoughts and work on healthier habits. Anyway, sorry for my long rant but keep fighting the good fight Niac, much love to all the flycast fans and the green wall

The thing about life expectancy way back when is that it was super super hard to make it out of childbirth and early ages. Once you turned like 21 you where set and would probably live to be old by todays standards. But because so so many died at a young age from diseases and pillaging etc the average life expectancy was way lower.

Some real talk. I’m no doctor but just speaking from experience, Maniac could be bipolar. Just speaking from experience. Sometimes you just feel like shit and sometimes you are on top of the world. Highs and lows. Doc put me on some mood stabilizers and feeling much better. Helps with SAAD and Social Anxiety too. Spread love green wall. Go give your grandma a call

Nick has bigger problems than if he was bipolar. It is clear as day that he does not go and see a therapist and also I can guarantee right now he is still taking something even after being sober for what he did years ago. I also think just the role he plays in the organization of optic is bringing him down to a level of really establishing himself to a lazy mentality.
