Buying Broken iPhones Turning TRASH To CASH | Broken Repairs Ep. 4

Ғылым және технология

In this series we delve into the world of flipping electronics for profit. From broken iPhones and gaming consoles to computers and laptops, we'll repair and resell these items to make money. Starting with just $100, we'll embark on a journey to see how far we can go. This series serves as a fun side hustle experiment, and I'm thrilled to document and share the valuable insights I gain throughout the process.
In today's episode, we tackle a broken iPhone 11 Pro, a purchase I made with the intention of repairing it for a profit. The main issue with this phone is a shattered screen that requires a repair. I'll take you through the entire process of sourcing a new screen and replacing the damaged display.
To attract a wide range of potential buyers, I strategically list the phone on popular platforms like Facebook Marketplace, eBay, and Mercari. These platforms offer maximum exposure for our listing. After a few days of careful marketing, I successfully close the deal on eBay, resulting in a nice profit. Our original investment of $100 has now grown to an impressive $303.
Join me on this exciting journey of flipping electronics, learning valuable repair skills, and turning investments into profits. Stay tuned for more thrilling episodes and insider tips on maximizing your earnings in this lucrative side hustle.

I used to work a job driving to people's homes and fix their iphone/samsung screens. I've always wondered what it would be like to strike out on my own and do what you are doing. This series is inspirational. I really want to start flipping phones/consoles now!

Go out and give it a try! It's such a fun hobby and the feeling you get when you make your first flip is priceless. I remember being a 17 old kid walking home from a deal with $150 in cash and feeling like Jeff Bezos that evening lol. I appreciate the kind words!

This is such an accurate portrayal of having a flipping business. Ebay is a beast with the fees but things sell so much faster there. Also, I bet I know what kind of scam you came across on Facebook Market lol Thanks for the videos!

I appreciate the support! I have done back glass replacements where I did a complete housing replacement. Its not to difficult, but takes a lot of time for to preform that repair. I’m going to try and see if I can get a cracked back iPhone for a good price and feature it. Hopefully that will help bring some insight!

Hi great content! How do you avoid that message in settings which says unable to determine if the display is a genuine apple product? Have you had those issues? Thank you!

lol I hope you found that video useful! For most of the phones that I work on I don't really bother with the non genuine messages. It does effect the value so I do lose out on a bit when it comes to profit. Those genuine display messages are really annoying and in the future I think I want to make a video documenting the entire repair from start to finish on how to get those messages resolved along with determining if the time is worth investing into the repair to resolving that error. Thanks for the question!

I would recommend iFixit and Injured Gadgets, both of these vendors have been solid to me and off great parts. I do have a video going over screen vendors if you want to hear more about my opinions on which one I would choose for different situations. Good luck with your iPhone repair!
