I had the same problem with my eclipse about a month ago, where the lights flicker when you open the door. It was actually the alarm going off, and I had to remove my horn fuses because it would blare for 3 minutes every time I opened a door. Couldn’t figure it out for the life of me, and it was driving me crazy. How I fixed it was I took off the driver’s side interior door panel and looked up towards where the lock is. There’s a little plastic piece that clips around the key cylinder in the door, and mine was popped off. Clipped it back on and no more issues. I found the fix by accident too

aye let us know how that up and down shift handles on the automatic

flashing lights is the security alarm going off. close the driver door n use ur key to unlock it to open it n the lights wont flash anymore. hook up the alarm n the sound will go off with the lights the next time.

Yo I got a question if u could help me out . I have a 03 eclipse spyder gt 4 speed manual . And my car will idle after it’s warmed up but not off the cold start and I cleaned the mass air flow sensor and it made the car run a lot better and the check ingine light turned off then like 2 hours later it turned back on and the car still had that idle issue but runs great once it’s warmed up.

Wow. People are still buying 3Gs? Not to be mean - I miss my DWP dearly. So many great memories. But, ... ever thought about ditching and going to the 4G? (6G75M, of course) Far better chassis, build, engine, and trans than what's in the 3G. Seriously. Good luck though.

Not a fan of the 4g in all honesty, I like the 3g and it’s fairly straightforward to swap the 6g75 in it anyway. Wouldn’t mind owning a 4g gt in the future just to see what I can do with it but the 3g is where it’s at imo
