Iam a Ghanaian and i also eat exact way as togolese because we share the same culture with togo , Cote D'Ivoire and benin as u correctly said. It much healthier than cooking the stew in oil. U get every bit of the nutrients in that food

Your budget and calcution is flawed, that meal is way beyond 1 dollar, you did not add the price of the corn flour and gari. Those are the main ingredient!
