I like to see a video of modern mp3 players

They're called DAPs which stands for Digital Audio Players. People in this market that buy these players don't listen to mp3 files because of their low resolution. flac, DSD, WAV, MQA and the like are what they listen to; CD quality and above only. Phones also can't drive the headphones that they like to use (save for LG's quad DAC equipped phones that had decent amplifiers as well). If you knew, sorry to bore you. If you didn't, check it out. You'll understand why there's a market for this stuff.

@@orangeyellow-me1pz Plenty of "mp3 players" support much more file formats, including ones which allow higher quality. It's just a term, doesn't mean they literally only play mp3s.
Call me old-fashioned, but I'd rather have something with an iPod style click wheel

Look up the Surfans F20, I’ve had mine for 2 years and still love it. It has a spinning wheel and physical buttons that are very satisfying to use. One thing to note is that it only supports up 15,000 songs no matter how large the as card. I only have a couple thousand and half of them I never listen to but I’ve heard some people say that’s not enough.

I never stopped listening to music through MP3 players. Streaming is limited by your internet connection, phone storage is taken up by other media and apps and I like owning my music.

Honestly, if you’re willing to give up Bluetooth audio and streaming, a PSP still makes a great audio player! It’s easy to expand the storage these days, sounds great, and is super easy to fit in a pocket
Please make a video about newer mp3 players!
The biggest reason for most music players still existing will be enhanced sound quality, tho probably the cheaper ones aren’t as much of a jump. Also a lot of people just want to not be bothered by 5 billion notifications on their phones while listening to music, or just are tired of modern smartphone world. Tho this player running android 13 is smashing that idea a bit

If mp3 players gain momentum. I think they will make a comeback. A lot of people are tired of using their phones as mp3 players
Got a Walkman a couple years back. Just having access to the features that a phone doesn't have, and not need to rely on subscriptions or WiFi is great. Plus, no ping or notifications, and it had its own battery - so if my phone is dying, I can still listen to music. I have a dedicated camera for similar reasons. Decentralizing entirely from my phone is one of my goals for this year. 😂
I've been using a cheap but pretty good MP3 player when I do my workouts. It allows me to focus more on my workouts by getting rid of potential distractions. I only have 1 hour for my workouts every day, so I need to make the best of it.

@@damianriver4482 I've got three different players from three different brands: a Ruizu, a Zyzy, and a no name brand. I don't remember the model name/number. They're all Chinese brands.
I Repurposed my S10 Plus 1TB + 512GB MicroSD as my personal Jukebox. Because I basically only listened upto 1 hour, this setup is PERFECT as I also have just replaced it's Battery
As a privacy conscious person, MP3 players need to make a comeback because our phones leak so much data about us. With an mp3 player, especially the new ones, I can enjoy the luxuries of listening to music and podcasts without sacrificing my privacy. I can keep my phone in a faraday bag and just listen to my mp3 player whenever I don’t need my phone

Why FK you are commenting about privacy when you are using YT ?you mean they only data leak when you play music on phone 😂? First smash your phone OS and install and install Graphene OS , then have MicroG for Google app alternatives , and disable all permission for them except (net ) , and then you have right to talk about privacy lamfo.... Or be a good guy just download MP3 from internet ..

The main reason they exist is great built-in dac's that improve audio quality
Not related but i love your tshirt collection man
Let me know what you think. Thats concept. Even the older days its hard to find that.
"And it even runs Android" That's the problem I have with most modern DAPs. They all run on Android with power hungry CPUs, so they don't last as long and take longer to charge. I want a DAp that I can play music on, hit pause, throw it in my bag and not worry about it for 8 hours and then hit play and almost immediatly continue where I left off with no battery wasted. That's what I love about my iPod.
Is the audio output quality good? Thats what matters to me
Oh man I want that 😭, but it's expensive
80 seems more resonable considering if you wanna get an iPod touch it’s about 150 used and without the streaming capabilities the iPod nano 7th is a great pick and I’ve bought 2 for about 50-60 each considering the iPod nano has Bluetooth capabilities and a headphone jack too I’d say it’s a better buy
I fixed my old iPhones to use as mp3 but used my minidisk Walkman instead because it still works
They exist because some people don't like cheap Bluetooth sound quality and want a proper anadigi interface.
That's a very nice DAP (Digital Audio Player) ngl.
wow!!! i love the yellow ipod!! 😍💖
I don't want to stream with my digital music player. It's my music, I found it.
We need more of these
This is to overcomplicate music, it's so easy to use streaming services today and download how much songs you want, from any artist, gender or time.
Recently I found my old iPod Nano 3rd gen, buy some parts like battery, screen n Back cover and will try to bring him Back to life. Today im using an old iPhone 8 like a newer iPod touch, 64gb without SIM Card and social media
Miles needs you bruh
Bought a cheap android dap that can be used with a DAC and 128gb sd card. All my flacs are safely stored without me taking the sd card out for file transfers because it has usb-c. Best purchase for decluttering my phone and pc storage so far.
Yo lo tengo y se escuche de lujo, completamente recomendable
Better keep your old phones as music library. After 2-3 years your current phone and so on
Are those CD900ST? If so, slap on some Yaxi StPad2
i'm going back into a dedicated music player right now. this is connected to wifi though...still too connected for me. looks cool though.
Bro if you don't want to spend 200 dollars for something that shouldn’t be this much. Get a prepaid phone, they work perfectly fine and you don't have to have the worry of the $200 mp3 player running too slow. Prepaid phones go for like 30-70 bucks.
Respectfully, this creator reminds me of Dunston Checks In (1996) movie
So does this need to be continuously updated??? I want something that does NOT need updating like ever!??? Suggestions please? 👍

I like the idea of single-purpose devices like these on an ideological level. Phones have melted our brains. It does everything, and has every feature, but does it poorly.
I use my old phone from 2013 as my mp3 player
Not mentioning the supported formats is superlame
I picked up a sony walkman Zx707.
As someone who gets in trouble at work for pulling out my phone just to skip through music, physical buttons are sorely missed.
Plus you own your music. Phone have taken so much hdd space unless your willing to pay for the 1tb phone which will be way over priced They would make you use a streaming service to then pay another monthly bill and even then you don't get the music you want.. sadly this is needed.

I used my Nokia Xpress 5130 for music 🥲 though I have an iPod 7th generation

The moondrop miad needs a review~
Just better to buy a used lg v60 and it will even out perform mid range phones of today for media consumption with quad dac
yeah, try MD Players :)

Just curious is better than iPod 5.5 just for sound quality? What is your thought?
I am instantly liking and commenting cuz of the miku stuff
train drivers. they can’t hold a mobile phone, but can use something that’s not connected like this music player
I love Suisei
Install a sony walkman launcher on that and you got a nifty music player centric android mini tablet
But isn't a mediaplayer that's able to play audio and video called a mp4 player
Nowdays im more into listening on speaker, not wireless headphone. Dunno why
I have a feeling you would like the hatsune miku sony walkman a306 they made a bit ago
Just bought a ebay refurbished Google Pixel 6 Pro for the same price.
I’d love a music player I could use with my Ifi go bar.
I listen to music with my LG FA162 which is a micro HiFi system I stopped using Spotify because I just don't like it and also I like physical media like CDs so..
LOVE LIVE MENTIONED
Im looking for an mp3 player that is really just an mp3 player. Want to keep the distractions away. I guess ill keep looking.
If honestly like seeing a full video on this like the Sony one from a while back
Got a download for that old Miku playlist?
A Hatsune Miku fan? Hell yes.
i use a galaxy s10e as media player and i can use as a portable streaming box with dex amazing and small
Hatsune miku spotted
$200 for the dap is enough to give me the hiby jeebies 😅 (but yeah would consider looking into it 👀)
Nah thats badass
I just use an old sony smartphone, it's the same thing tbh
Why does bro look like he’s holding in a burp
"and it runs on Android 13" aaaand I'm out. I love single purpose devices like these but I dislike the idea of everything running on Android nowadays. Many retro gaming devices also run on Android and it's not for me. What happened to good ol' Linux 😅
W music taste
I'm thinking of making my current phone my dedicated music player after I upgrade.

Can we get a head to head comparison with the Walkman player?
I heard the MP3 or better said, the media player seen in Europe is pretty solid and the units are better now than ever. 😮

i use an old galaxy s8+ for that kind of task
Where can I get the modded ipod classic?

How's the amp
Just ask them to add a phone to it

Too much money. In today’s world, I can’t justify spending $200 for something that I can do on my phone. Yes, they’re nice, but when you have a phone with plenty of memory;,I can’t justify spending that much. Maybe $100. That would probably help me make up my mind.

You can't be serious. No, the phone can't do what that thing can. It's far too weak. Not enough power at all. Then there's the noise. There's a reason why that thing is so thick. If I were to plug my planars into my phone, oh, wait, most phones don't even have a headphone jack. Maybe a dongle, wait, still not powerful enough. You can't justify it because of budget constraints, cool but no, your phone is sh!t in comparison. You should go back and listen to a CD player and realize how garbage your phone is.
