You can't cut cast iron with a gas axe (oxy acetylene). I am not sure about plasma, but I think it would have worked.

I've been watching Andrew for a few years now, and you have to admire the kid's resourcefulness and work ethic. He is also a master on the dozer, which many people don't realize, is one of the most difficult machines to master. He makes grading look easy and it isn't, not by a long shot. This young man is the whole package. He's pleasure to watch and admire.

I choose to agree with everything except the dozer part. A skidsteer and a dozer is the best place to START learning heavy equipment.

I smile every time we get to hear the 955 roar. Such a great machine!

Surprised me also. Especially when he said he was gonna cut an access hole to get to those hoses. But that was some VERY thick material he would have had to cut through and probably set the hoses on fire anyway. Plus have to make a special haul trip to and from his yard.

I was laughing out loud when you said you would be cutting a larger access hole in that roller. I was really looking forward to seeing your no-nonsense approach to fixing things applied to that old roller. You repairing things is probably 70% of my enjoyment of your channel. The skid steer roller attachment is a graceful way to fill the need. I don't think vibratory rollers are used to break rock, just compact the ground, right?

Agree. His skill at setting up shots and editing is easy to overlook because it’s so professional. There was a short segment with the bulldozer putting rock on drive where it appeared he used 2-3 camera setups plus possibly a drone, in only a minute.

There's a special place in hell for engineers that design machines that are difficult to fix. Someone's about to spend eternity replacing hydraulic lines on that roller.

Over the years I was always impressed how you can take any machine you owned and were able to make a smooth service. This roller is just going to slow you down! Your to professional, it’s more of a homeowners tool

It's so good to see the 955 still working hard and earning her keep even though she's 60-something years old!

My dad was born 1920 and left work at the bank the first day and became a life long aviation engineer. He would often say “ He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day.”

This side of New York looks amazing. Whenever I think of the state I think of all the buildings and people, but this is beautiful. I love the landscape of your area and thanks for the great video!

When AC gets new equipment, he tests it thoroughly. In this vid, he proves it can pack stone, break bigger rocks, give you a glass-flat road and paddywhack a lawn mower, big screen and a pumpkin until they become part of the driveway at the molecular level. In other words, just another day in the life. Good one! 😎👍👏

First thing I thought of when I saw that old timey roller was Fred Dibney and his steem powered collection. What a monster and all the repair videos you would have to make.

I'd say he is really smart. Bought a machine, assessed it's potential, found the plusses and minuses. Don't know if Andrew lost money or made money or broke even on the deal. But it doesn't matter. He figured out it wasn't worth his time and cut it loose. Bought what works for him. Good on you Andrew.

All of Andrew's videos that start with pulling a pallet out of the back of a semi are great

one of my favorite recurring themes on this channel is how Andrew gets a new piece of equipment and just tests it out on his driveway like digging a big hole or ditch in it and filling it back up

Andrew, you should do a video of all the attachments you have and maybe a rating scale of each.

I know just what the Container Castle needs. Two things: 1) zip-line from the upper level above the hot tub to the ponds below and 2) a swing fixed to the north side of the CC roof with the step off located next the tower at the hot tub level. Oh, ya!

You’re welcome. I just put out three videos on a bigger roller, those are some pretty cool videos. this skid steer attachment isn’t really powerful enough for rolling down rock. The big roller is much stronger

of ALL your videos, don't think I EVER heard you say you couldn't fix something... the beginning of this got me a bit confused cause it was pre-steel roofing, and then you get this awesome attachment and steel roof done on the castle! waiting for finishing touches and video on the 3rd or forth floor??...this attachment will be great on jobs for 2021 season:-) thank you for sharing...love seeing what I call the big green mean machine! My husband Paul says maybe a Sheepsfoot Roller attachment would be better for your roads than a smooth roller...

Getting in the truck that afternoon, he finds a note - "Dear Andrew, I have felt nso bad since i bent the crankshaft on your favorite mower! I was so thrilled to find one just like it in a Garage Sale!- same modeland all! Hope this one serves you as well as the old one! I took the old one to the recycling center for you!"

I like how they zip tied the instructions to the hydraulic lines hoping that Andrew would open and read them.

I think the main reason people watch the channel is because they like to see you fix and repair things so when you said you just sold it that was a shock

The idea of people seeing him fix stuff I think is part of it. But, no clickbait, no asking for likes, no asking to hit the subscribe button or the bell icon, no asking for to share it or comment, no throwing sponsorships in people's faces or anything else, I think that's also why people watch.

I always come for a peek but end up staying for the show. Love it!

Glad to see the 955 is making an appearance I was beginning to wonder if you still had it. That's my favorite machine on the channel!

Nice attachment. I agree with your thoughts regarding ease of transportation and already having the skid steer. It'll be a very versatile tool for you and I'm sure like you said, it'll work wonders on freshly laid material, for example on all of those driveways you had put in previously.

Idk. I'm not a construction person but from the outside looking in, these rollers always seem to not compact the soil much at all. And the attachment is even lighter so it has less force pushing down on the soil. You massaged that road for so long and it barely changed much at all. That's just what it looks like, though. If you say it's gonna be useful then it probably will be. You know what you need.

His road already has lots of gravel embedded in it, and the mountain he's on is basically a big rock. I was surprised how well the roller worked, given its size. Having a vibrator in it is a big win.

I have this roller in the 84” model, I use it on a loader and a skidsteer you are right it is not as good as a dedicated roller , it’s the el Camino syndrome! Not a good car or truck , with this being said it’s does the job well , I bought mine used ,if buying new it would be hard to justify, also a real roller is very expensive new or used

That was a nice trailer The guy who bought the roller from you.. I need a tilt 25 ton ! 💪🏼 2K was a good deal for that broke roller. Paladin makes good attachments

Love seeing the mighty Cat working hard and that machine still has plenty of life in it! I do have a feeling though that we are going to be seeing a lot more of that vibro-roller in the future! Anything that refuses to be repaired is going to be flattened!

I’m really surprised you don’t have a stone crushing facility considering that stone is one of the most naturally occurring resources your property has and you most need

Sort of the same with tv, why are we doing pay TV subscriptions when we can all just get over the air tv antennas and watch tv for free. Granted, over the air HAS supposedly existed since probably before world war 2 depending on the source you depend on and country you come from, but, still, pay subscription tv services is sort of a dated idea these days in my opinion.

Pff, that's the story over here in America, but most people are too stupid to realize or stubborn that they can forgo subscription tv services and get a tv antenna, the latter partly being true (partly with the whole stubbornness) because there are channels on subscription tv service that would otherwise not be on over the air. or the fact that they don't know about internet streaming, or the fact that they didn't end up with unlimited data internet access.
