The moment console gaming goes all digital is the day that I play through my backlog and stop buying new hardware. That is unless the manufacturers open the digital storefronts to competitors like exists on PC because their idea of "sales" is rather lacking at times. As for limited printing game publishers and waiting for a long time a year is nothing. Those of us who pre-ordered Broforce from Special Reserve Games JUST received our copies after two plus years. Though it also doesn't help when Devolver Digital took forever to release the Broforce Forever update, which was supposed to be the "final" update. Unfortunately they released a new patch AFTER the limited printing copies were pressed, packed and shipped. There is a non limited physical version coming out next week (the 22nd) across multiple retailers. It's been delayed multiple times too, so fingers crossed that it does release.

I have a soft spot for my PS3. I just bought a 1tb HDD to copy games to rather than flipping my discs. But for my money, the PS4 was the gen that ballooned for games. It took what was good about the PS3 and ran with it. The PS5 has been a disappointment, despite the technology and power it has over old gens. It really is like an uber-PS4.

The rarest PS3 game for me is the Hypercollection Neptunia on PS3

Ryan I loved how you acknowledged your title for this video to lure us in that you did well. It was a great opening with Melissa! It's nice to have our animal counterparts by our side gaming. Hey there ain't nothing wrong with buying Yu-Gi-Oh cards still and battling out old school with your good friend. I've been thinking about buying physical cards myself that I haven't done since I was a teenager. I regret giving away my grand book of cards to my neighbor all because I felt that I needed to grow up not realizing how they would become valuable one day. I really have been loving these videos and for us that grew up with these classics its exciting to buy these games we never got to play which I'm willing to spend some dough on. You are one of the realest dude and have some of the best videos on KZread that one can spend their time well watching.

I fist pumped the air when I saw what type of video this was! These are so relaxing and chill, I love it. Mystic always provides good dialogue and game suggestions with these.

You can get Pain and (I think) Wipeout HD separately from Europe. I have the Pain on disc....

Yep I think this compilation as well as maybe 1 or 2 other promotional PS3 games is the only way to get Stardust though

I'm one of those people who have pretty much finished PS3 game collecting with little left aside from some Imports in English that have peaked my interest, the mystery PS3 game being the highlight of this video I never heard of and the fact it has three high profile Digital PS3 games on Disc which surprised me since apparently for the longest time, those never got that treatment on there, I guess they were available physically the whole time in a compilation only released in South America despite what the internet told you, wild stuff and something I'm definitely going to keep an eye on.

On the Persona 3 stuff, the P3 Portable isn't solely through LRG, they lied. lol. It's actually up on VGP so you can snag a copy there too for both P3P and P4G. In regards to Persona 3 Reload, there will be no enhanced version, because THIS IS the enhanced version. There will be DLC later on that includes The Answer, the Persona 3 FES exclusive Epilogue. I can't post a link to the dev interview stating that, but just look it up, you'll find it. Love these Game Pickup videos as always

I worked retail around the time when movie were fully moving to Bluray instead of DVD and what some of the big studios did was release the Bluray then had people wait 2 weeks or up to a month (Damn Disney) for the regular DVD copy. I bring this up because like you've said they are starting to do this with digital/physical releases. Sadly the writing may be on the wall for physical games.

Yeah I remember this 3D disc, I was manager in electronic store IN Chile, and we got this disc and i bought one SONY 3D comes with this disc and remember I sold the disc in $5. In Chile I've got lot of unique games only available there, I sold everything in when i moved to Canada. Dead Nation was the most I sold 2 years ago Sealed.

I have never played on a VR game... the more I have seen on this channel it has made me really think about jumping in. The price of them puts me off for how much I would actually use it... don't want to drop over £500 on something they will just collect dust after a few weeks... maybe when the VR2 drops in price

If I were you, I’d try out somebody’s VR headset first if you can. Saying that because many people get nauseous after a few mins of VR gameplay (including myself). The VR2 is sick, but it’s not something I care to own myself.

I ended up buying P3P and P4G on both Switch and PS4 just to be future proofed, but I think LRG newer releases aren't as expensive on the secondhand market as they used to be. Copies of P3P right now are only selling for $15ish more on eBay than MSRP so maybe I didn't need to doubledip after after all.

I love these pickup videos they are interesting and fun. It's fun to pick up games for the Sony PlayStation 3 It has many wonderful games. I love Persona and remember Persona 3 Reload got announced close to when I got a copy for the PlayStation 2 which is still amazing. Now Pokémon Gold in Japanese interesting. I have Mario Kart 64 Japanese and other games many fun games thanks for sharing. Cool video. ^_^

This is the Next Level collection on PS3 was also released in several Asian countries and Australia renamed as the 3D Collection. In Australia I believe it was packaged with a PS3 and 3D TV bundle. Not sure how it was distributed in Asia, I just know I have seen copies.

Japan has a “special edition” for MGR, this is the version to get, for a complete experience. Such a good game!

Fantavision was from VGP a canadian retailer that does a lot of reprints of games and gets a lot of exclusives and lrg prints.

the 3d demo disc or "this is the next level" has only been published in brazil for a really really short period of time as part of a bundle of a sony bravia 3d television + ps3 console. there are actually two other versions of it. one in asia under a slighty different name, "3d collection" where they also call motorstorm pacific rift a generic "motorstorm II" and an aussie version which is the rarest out of the three since it was a code in a box "game". btw i own and played the edition displayed in the video and super stardust and wipeout are complete games. motorstorm and pain are demos

FYI people have done some digging into the Persona 3 Reload files and it seems that you won't have to worry about needing to buy a whole new version for the FES story.

I also bought the Jurassic Park collection! I played some of them as kids. Great games despite how hard or unfair they can be! And I got Persona 3 portable! lol seeing a lot of similar grabs here haha

A physical copy of Eyecreate on PS3 can be picked up for less than £1 here in the UK, the reason why it has no age rating is because it's not an actual game

3:30 if the next generation is removing physical disc's completely, I'll just move entirely to pc. If I go all digital, at least I have (almost) unlimited backwards compatibility, free online multiplayer, community patches for older games, drm free games from GOG, insaaaaane steam sales, emulators (ps1 through ps3, for example) and much more.
