If it's not being advertised you would have to do a search and find out the owner.

You can start by asking the neighbors of property for the owner. If that doesn't produce results. You find the property's survey plan or neighboring plan and then make a search at the registry department for the deed.

Someone wants to buy my land and offered a good price. They asked for a copy of the deed to do a survey. Is it safe to give them a copy of the deed?
