Just to add... it easy to get finance, the dealer ship does do all of this. The dealership I went to got me an interest rate of 15% (something like that) . I decided to check with the bank with that I bank with, they gave me a lower interest rate of 12.5% ... so I went back to the dealership and said I want to get my car financed with my bank that I bank with...the lady I was dealing with said “ okay I see here (on “the system” )their interest rate is 12.5% and with a few clicks on her pc it was changed... the dealership knew all along that my interest rate could have been lower, point is they don’t always give you the best deal, they are in business to make money...But yes finance is the best option

Jowell Iyman that’s actually something I forgot to mention, but very true and wise actually try get a better interest rate from another finance house, starting with your own bank

Its really cool that you're doing this! Please do post more of these kind of videos - am still just at getting from point "a to b" myself with my car choice & would have liked something like this when initially making my decision! this is too cool - buying a car cash is definitely a tough choice... always seems so much easier but yes, insurance is annoying but seems easier to manage financially in the long term... hence its easier to do bigger things with your money if you're making little payments over a long-term!

Yo yo, I myself did not put any deposit down, that was my terms and i told them how much i am willing to spend a month. So they made it work for me i went to a few dealerships for leverage. (what Ive learned and don't hold it against me is if you make multiple dealerships check what you qualify for that will eventually mess up your credit score). So yeah i invested my deposit and every six months i double my installment which i feel works for meh ..!

Brenlee Hippolyte thanks for that feedback I’m gonna check that out if it is the case with the credit score but at least I know the method works for other people of re-investing that capital and using that to supplement instalments

Angel bluerider I wonder if you watched and listened to the whole video, cause I explain all the reasons why it’s logical option when it comes to car’s especially since they are depreciating assets the only argument I have found better is leasing, but unfortunately that’s not a well established option in South Africa

All the reasons you just mentioned against cashing out a car are actually in support of leasing rather than financing it. I just don't see the worth in owning a car, period. Hence I'm more supportive of leasing it instead.

I could finish watching this video because touching of the face/nose is just too much and irritating. Please don't do it bro, it sucks.
