I just don't understand why when I go to the website and search under "parts" or "accessories", neither one show the F40. Like wth. They sell it on their website but don't sell any replacement parts or accessories for it?

@@kayhope2973 charge it at work and you shouldn't ever have to charge it at home. It uses a 7500w battery. About half the watts of your smartphone battery... Do you worry about charging your smartphone 2x a day?

I own an F40a and personally I like the motor in the front. The feeling of being pulled along instead of pushed is awesome. plus cornering feels zippy and quick. Just my opinion 🙂

Just got the F40 a couple weeks ago. Loving it. Got decent torque and good range even if have to be on Eco (which I hardly use) to get close to the full distance. I just installed an alarm/immobilizer. Scooters like these aren't cheap and anything as a deterrent is better than just a bike chain and saying a prayer.

When I take mine to the shop I put my F40 in a shopping cart. No way am I leaving mine outside for it to get stolen lol. It never leaves my side

@@ltdeditioncobba6382 that’s what I’ve done many times. Places that let dogs in, I just roll it through the front door. My scooter won’t bike and rarely takes a 💩 on the floor.

I have the F40 and its is pretty decent but I hate the fact that the motor is in the front and I cannot do wheelies with a front motor.

Why do some people say drum brakes will last longer then disk brakes. But you said the disk brakes last longer.

The f40 seems better than the gl30 from what I’ve seen. Are there any areas where the gl30 is a better scooter?

I own a p100s a g1 max a g2 max 2 f40s and 4 es4s. The f40 is great I'm fat at 245 lbs and it is great. Won't take me up hill easily like the p100s bit still amazing!

For those that might be considering this Scooter, here's a warning - as the store I purchased mine from has begun a recall process on this specific model due to constant returns / faults. Myself and others that I know personally have had consistent issues with the wheels and brakes not operating properly on this model, the first time I bought the Ninebot F40, the brakes on the back wheel started to disintegrate resulting in them coming apart in a middle of a ride. After this was repaired, my back wheel popped when riding over a flat surface, after spending quite a bit to have the wheel / brakes replaced - my front wheel then popped again so I returned it to the store. They provided me with a brand new F40, and within weeks of use - the wheels on both front / back popped during rides (I'm 90 kilos / 5'10) whilst riding again on safe non rugged surfaces. I contacted the store again, and they advised me that many people are returning / refunding their F40s due to mechanical faults and they've begun a recall to replace everyone's F40's with another company / model. Avoid this Scooter.

Important question: is all those problems the same with the F35? From what I hear the F35 is basically the Costco version of the F40 and the F35 looks exactly the same as the one in this vid from what I can tell. I bought the F35 from Costco and have not rode it yet so was just wondering if u knew if this one has those same problems as the F40

@@biden_warr3nx767 my last scooter was the ninebot G30LP and it didn’t have any problems until it broke probably because I was riding with someone else and the heat

As someone who uses the F30 daily, I absolutely love it...... Until ninebot released a firmware update which completely screwed up performances for people who owns the F30 and F40 series. Many people (myself included) reported massive battery drain and performance issues. I went from being able to do 15km at 25km/h on sports mode (i'm on the heavier side) to only being able to reach 7km and barely capable of reaching 20 km/h on sports mode. Some people were able to update to a later firmware that fixed the issue while many don't even have the update for the later firmware. Many have complained to the ninebot service team since march and they've been saying fixes will be available in april, may and now june still nothing.

It would be nice if you can just change it turn it on and go. But you need a smartphone and app to make it work. Because of that I returned mine.

I’m confused, got three F25 models last week🎉, wich each look slightly prettier and more sturdy than this F40 does. Especially the rear fenders are nicely worked with a way bigger taillight, givin it a more sleek design.The biggest ninebot scoot available in the Netherlands seems to be the F30. (Grey), wich actually looks pretty lump to me. Wont fit my trunk, these three do and dark grey is more..”sexy” indeed.There is also an extra accu available to clip on the handlepost if needet. So the plus of weight only gets attached if needet. A way better choice to be left to the user. I’d advise changable/ additional accus 4 e-cars as well. But who’d listen? Are there different models in GB? My F25E are the basic models comin’ by a neat price of € 350 each. De spare batteries are advertised with €178. This deal is more worth a nice review, mentioning and the money, dont ya think? Actually i like this review thó, nice work, very moderate. Ur easy on the eye and to listen to. Greets!

Recently updated my f40’s firmware to 5.8.4 and now I’m getting noticeably less range! Especially when the battery is below 40%. When charging at 31% it said there was 5 miles remaining. Very disappointed! Can I reset this thing to factory firmware? Thanks

Right now there is no downgrading firmware available. I've used a hacking utility to unlock some restrictions and will have to wait for a custom firmware to be available to hopefully fix these power and throttle sensitivity problems.

My bro got the F20A, and I use the Xiaomi Pro 2. I prefer the F20A due to the larger tyres but if I want to upgrade I rather wait for Segway-Ninebots new P series, P65 and P100s.

Hi Dylan. Guided by the manufacturer's specs side by side, both F40 and G30LP have the same Motor Power, Speed and riding distance. So, what's your point when you say hold on to G30 since Range and Durability are key? Well, If you have to buy a NEW scooter between those two models F40 and G30LP, I see that the F40 have many more advantages: Same riding distance, same motor power, better design, better charging port location, better brakes, almost 5 lbs lighter, deck has same size, more space available on the handlebar, better look, and even comes with a SPARE TIRE. C'mon!!! I want to buy a new scooter. I'll go for F40

I think he means stay with the g30 because of the 65k riding distance (not the g30lp). I am between those two scooters too. G30lp and F40. I think the g30lp has shorter deck though (not sure)

Yea the F40 in wet conditions is probably the way to go. They have pretty much the same IP rating but the disc brakes on the F40 probably make it the stronger choice.

The thing that sucks about this scooter or all ninebox scooters is it has no suspension. So your feet 🦶 hurt alot. After riding for just 2 hours. The bumps make your feet hit the platform. You feel all the bumps. I regret buying this scooter only for that reason. It’s reliable. But its kinda slow

This is something I've been pondering about a lot tbh. Im on the heavier side and got bad knees that would not appreciated to much impact being transfered into them. Is this a problem when you ride on stuff like gravel, or is it even a problem on a good asphalt road?

@@jace4817 if you ride this for long it will hurt your feet. Also even if you hit the slightest bump you feel it a little bit. If you have pain in your ankle you should get the dualtron mini. It’s the cheapest scooter with suspension you can jump around & don’t feel a single pebble. The good thing about the ninebot. Is it never gets a flat.

No such thing as anti puncture tire. Pneumatic tires can be punctured, replacing the tire is not very straightforward

I see you read text while talking to the camera, also, disk brakes last less than drum brakes...

Brand new and he died in the first month after 10 km ! Suddenly all battery drained and Error 10 ! Completely dead!

@@FoamFlingingHS Tire pressure can play a big factor in range. Your motor has to work much harder when you have low pressure. That could be why you aren't getting great range. Terrain (uphills) and outdoor temperature can also impact battery range.
