We had one of these when stationed in Guam back in the mid 1970s. We used it extensively during the aftermath of Typhoon Pamela on 1976. It was a great, reliable stove. I found them for sale by St. Paul Mercantile and bought one for use as a hurricane prep when I lived in Florida. These things are the best!

Finally, somebody on youtube using the proper method for lighting one of these stoves. My main stove on my boat is a Butterfly 2412 that I modified with the Hanse #1 adjustable burner, a clone of the old Primus 207b burner. Either the Hanse or an original 207b will fit most stoves of this type and is a very smart modification for the 2412, Prabhat, and similar stoves. base-camp.co.uk is one good source for the Hanse burner which they list as a 207b. With this burner you can pump the stove prior to lighting. You can safely and reliably reduce heat to a bare simmer, much easier and safer than by using the bleed screw on a nonadjustable stove. I use low sulphur road diesel, not marine diesel. If properly lit and properly burning, I cant smell it at all.

I remember as a child in Trinidad my neighbor cook on a stove like this. Excellent video.

Nice video. Are these good indoors. Any risk of Carbon Monoxide?
