Recipes:
Butter Garlic And Herb Pork Tenderloin
2 lbs pork tenderloin
1/4 cup kosher salt
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp brown sugar
4 cups water
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1/2 tbsp roasted garlic and herb seasoning
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp black pepper
Italian Seasoning or Herb Ingredients listed below
1 tbsp dried parsley
1 tbsp dried basil
1 tbsp rosemary
1/2 tbsp dried thyme
1/2 tbsp dried oregano
4 tbsp butter
4 tbsp lemon juice
Preheat oven to 400F.
Add salt, sugar, apple cider vinegar to water and combine.
Add pork loins and marinate for 20 minutes.
Remove rinse and pat dry.
Combine chili powder, smoked paprika, pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and garlic and herb seasoning.
Pat the seasoning unto the pork loin on both sides.
Using a heavy-duty skillet, cast iron preferred, drizzle with oil.
Allow the pan to become very hot.
Sear the pork loins on all sides.
Open a window or two to let the smoke out. LOL.
Remove and place the pork loins into aluminum foil, adding the Italian seasoning or dry herbs. ( parsley, basil, oregano, thyme, and rosemary)
Top with butter and lemon juice and wrap in foil.
Place in oven and bake for about 25-40 minutes until the meat becomes tender.
Wait 5 minutes before slicing.
Baste with sauce and serve with a favorite side dish.

I'm cracking up reading the comments asking why lemon was used and why the meat was washed. The ancestors tell us to do so. Clean cooking is for the soul.

It was a completely unnecessary step considering she was marinating the pork in vinegar and salt.

People are so far away from that it’s ridiculous nowadays. It’s lucky if they know how to cook especially if they’re young. People don’t know how to make a gravy they think cereal grows on trees lol

@@shirlebug my husband legit asked me if you’re supposed to wash chicken 🤣😂🤦🏻♀️ he rarely cooks.. only if I’ve been sick for a few days and not cooking.. I joke that he only married me for my meals🤣😂 I became a mom at 19 though and wasn’t taught much growing up. Lots of experimenting and cooking videos. I do well now (37) but there’s no excuse to not cook. I legit know women who’s men won’t marry them because they can’t cook. Kinda messed up. Ive never had a pork tenderloin so I’m here tryna learn. He said his mom made it for him growing up. I grew up on messican food lolllll y’all pray for me 🤣😂🙏🤣😂
I made this tonight. Girrrrrrrrl that meat was so TENDER! First time I've ever made a pork tenderloin perfect! Thank you for the recipe!

What times dinner??? I got the wine.
I've got a question and a couple comments: Why do you put salt and lemon on it and then rinse it off? The purpose of brine is to force water to go into the meat, which keeps it from drying out and getting tough when it's baking. It takes 2.5 - 3 hours for the brine to work, 20 mins doesn't do anything. It's important to rinse brine off because if you don't, it will be too salty. Sealing it up in foil keeps it from drying out, but it destroys the crust from searing. So if you're going to sear it and create that caramelized crust, you brine it first to force extra moisture in to keep it juicy and tender. If you're going to seal it up, the foil will keep the moisture from escaping so you don't need to brine it, and there's no point in searing it because the steam inside the foil packet will dissolve the crust.

Then why are you here friend? "There's no point" in your questions or comments if you've got all the answers. That was disingenuous. Just make your own video🤷🏽♀️
It’s resting on the stove right now! Can’t wait to slice it up! Smells delicious. We live in Mexico and although we don’t have all of the spices, we made do with what we have. I loved your technique. Looking forward to more of your recipes.
Looks good Tammy. Thanks for explaining the purpose of brining meat.
Thanks for sharing this recipe, Tammy! I made it for lunch and it was delicious. I actually baked mine in the oven and then broiled it for a few minutes on each side; I chose not to sear it in the cast iron because I was afraid I’d burn the spices 😂😫
I absolutely loved this roast!! It was the bomb!! Usually it is for the most part a dry piece of meat like alot of pork but this was delicious!! Even as a left over it was great. I don't print out many recipes but this my dear is in my cook book on my shelf. Ty keep them coming. 🙏

If your pork is dry then it's most likely overcooked. Pork does not need to be well done. You want to pull it around 145 at most.
I prepared this recipe. I followed all of the instructions. I doubled the amount of the rub due to the size of the pork loin and allowed it to sit in the brine for 3 hours and cooked at 350 degrees for an hour. It was perfect. ❤❤ thank you for sharing.
Finna put1 in the oven in a hour. Never ate 1 before. This was so helpful.
Thanks for the wonderful recipe. I’m cooking a pork tenderloin for dinner tomorrow. This video was right on time. 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

For me my loins are usually between 1 and 1 1/2 pound and are perfect in 25 minutes. I only make one loin at a time.
Highly recommend. Some of the moistest pork I’ve ever eaten. The juice/gravy was delicious.

This recipe is amazing. I made it but as I didn’t have the paprika I used chipotle roasted garlic. The meat was so tender, melting in the mouth. Loved your recipe Tammy. Thank you!

10/14/23: Hey Tammy. Your pork turned out wonderful, looks juicy and full of flavor. I LOVED your presentation and especially how clean you are with your meat. I'm the same way. I've got my pork loins waiting for me to put the whammy on it today with your recipe and I'm excited. You sound very east coast. I'm from The Bronx/Brooklyn myself, so I picked up on your accent. Hope I'm not wrong. Thanks for sharing! I'll let you know how it turned out. EDIT (4/29/24): I made this bad boy, and OMG, it came out wonderful, tender, juicy and packed with flavor! In fact, I've made it twice since last year and plan on making another for the Memorial Day holiday, party of 30! For me to put something out there for a party this large, you know it's GOT to be good! 😋 Thanks again.

This is the best pork tenderloin we have ever made. Completely tender. Plentiful au jus. Treated dear friends who just lost their Mother to this with scalloped potatoes. They raved. The aluminum foil really made a difference.

I made Tammy's Southern cabbage and sausage 2 weekends in a row. It was THAT good!! 😋 I was all set to make it for a 3rd time but I forgot the head of cabbage. Ugh, I was so angry at myself. Since I couldn't make it I did the next best thing. I doubled up on every ingredient then placed all of that goodness into flour tortillas. I missed the cabbage but I gotta say. Those were some tasty tacos/burritos, lol. I've never used shallots before but now? Tammy's got me experimenting... 😄
Saw this video yesterday, and I have mine in the oven now lol 🎉💪🏾🥂
Thumbs up for this recipe 👍🏿👍🏿
I watched your video, I seared mine, then I put big dabs of butter on top and wrapped it in foil. Put it on my grill for about 35 minutes and it came out excellent. Thank you for your session
Looks awesome. I like to stuff my pork tenderloin...
