Havent been to Butlins since I was a kid and must admit I remember it with great fondness. The unlimited rides were amazing for a kid, there was entertainment, food, arcades and so much fun. Wouldnt go now, but it was great back then.

I absolutely loved it when you were singing Queen songs because Queen is my favorite band

I worked in Butlins pwllheli in 1990. As an 18 year old & it being my first job & away from home, it was brilliant. Basically being paid to be on holiday.

Me and my family used to come to Butlins Minehead every year as a kid absolutely loved it !! such great amazing memories❤️ thanks for the video :):):):) Happy New Year to you both and good luck on your new travel/theme park adventures.😊

Know at Minehead they are supposed to be having a big indoor activity centre. The tug boat was making that noise when we was there in the summer

Wow the memories!! I went to Butlins Minehead when I was 10ish and I still remember a lot from that trip. I have photos of me on the paratrooper and the waltzer, they both look EXACTLY the same. As does most of the rest of the park. Watching this is like being transported back to my childhood. 😂💕

Many happy memories from my childhood , we used to go to butlins clacton every summer before it closed , we were gutted as we loved it there especially the big theatre shows in the gaiety theatre then for a few years we went to butlins Skegness but it was never the same as clacton for us , these days they won’t let single people go on a summer break anymore so I haven’t been for a long time but for me it’s not the butlins I remember from being a kid but glad you had a nice new years and can’t wait for Australia

Great Day One and great first Vlog of 2023 Shawn and Charlotte

Just come back ourselves from minehead for newyear. Done every year for the past 13 except for lockdown year obvs. Another fantastic year. Entertainment fab, food in premium dining absolutly beautiful. Well done butlins. Been going to butlins for 35 years. Although some major changes over the years. Still manages to give kids the full thrill they seek when away on holidays.

I feel very sorry for the hardworking Environment team who had to clean up after all that confetti. Cleaning one of the larger rooms you stayed in absolutely filled with that confetti was a nightmare in itself. I'm glad you had an awesome time though. It looked fabulous. Hats off to all the Hardworking Butlins staff who worked over the Christmas and New Year period. Without those very under appreciated staff who work in the background, your holidays wouldn't be so joy filled. Well done to the cleaners, and kitchen staff, ride workers, maintenance team, and all of the staff who go unnoticed on your Holiday Breaks. You are amazing. X

I found it funny when Charlotte screamed on the ride at 9:00

behind the boating lake,the building used to be where you went for breakfast and lunch. i remember taking bread from the building directly outside and feeding the ducks. the swimming pool was further down. happy days.

I love butlins. I've been but I went when I was 2 years old so I don't remember going but hopefully I can go again soon.

In Canada they are called 'bumper cars' sooo kinda the point to bump into people LOL Happy New years!

I stayed there last year in a silver apartment I think, it was a great week loads to do with my grandson, accomadation was absolutly fine, the pool awesome, the acts & staging really impressive, such good value for money

I went to minehhead last year and I found it quite good but not quite as good as Skeggness (the one i go to the most). Also, you know the pins in the gift shop, I have over 100 of them after going every year once or twice since i was like 6

Excellent video Shawn and Charlotte, from Butlin's Minehead Resort in this series of vlogs! In this video, we share everything we got up to on the first day of our holiday, including a full tour of our Standard Room. We also head to the Fairground and share on ride povs from all of the different rides on offer. Along with that, we take you on a tour of the Skyline Pavilion along with sharing highlights from the awesome entertainment throughout the 4 different venues on New Year's Eve! I can write to see vlog two on the channel and keep the good videos coming on the channel. Happy new year to you both as well.

I'd love to visit Butlin's again as an adult, I used to go to Minehead Butlin's every year from about the age of 5 to 12, and whenever we visit Minehead, I always remember happy times spent there during the October half term!

I never went to Minehead Butlins as a child, Skegness was my butlins, but I remember seeing it advertised in the brochures and being marketed as the higher class butlins compared to Skeggie

When i was invited by my mate and his family to go with them, we went on the waltzers on loop for about 20 mins lol

Mine as a kid was Ponitins(it was good in my day in 80s ..honestly lol great memories). Brilliant value for all that am glad you both decided to go.good old British weather 🤣 👍
