BUT CAN SHE CRAWL?? | RC Girl's TRX-4 at Demo Forest
After a mountain bike ride, I took out the TRX-4 at Soquel Demonstration Forest for a short crawl down to the river. Working on my scale driving!
This is more of a cinematic run video - let me know what you think and if you want more of these types of videos!

This is probably the first crawling video I have been able to watch that doesn’t bore the hell out of me. Thank you.
There is something about a good crawling video that is primally satisfying

I like this style of video mixed in with some tutorials. This area looks great for a walk and crawl, looks like it has a bit of everything to help challenge you. Your camera work and driving are wonderful. The new lights and accessories, plus the low camera angle adds to the realism.

Thanks - I wanted to mix it up a bit. Got some inspiration from other channels that do these types of run videos. And the area is awesome! Mountains and coast both super close. I'll definitely keep doing tutorials and reviews, but I'll make sure to mix in these as well!
She can crawl and she crawls good...and what a beautiful place to do it...thumbs up from North Norway and 50cm of snow..Bad crawling conditions..Very nice video Rc Girl..

Yeah not too bad up here. Constant rain the past few days, but I think socal got hit the hardest on top of the fires that removed a lot of the vegetation. :(
Awesome video, great job, keep going. Thanks

I've been to santa cruz a lot on my motorcycle, but, I've never been up to that soquel forest, looks really beautiful!, im from Oakland,ca., our hills are also a great crawling area, lots of different types of terrain in redwood regional park, roberts park etc thats fitting for scalers! Great vid! ;o)
Looks great, and nice crawling area
Right on! That's cool. Demo forest is my favorite place to ride. And I also just bought a TRX4 that I must try out there! I live in Salinas and want to take it to fort Ord trails soon too! Sems like it'd be pretty cool. Maybe we can trail crawl together some time. 🤙

Yeah demo is great for biking and crawling!
I just grabbed one of those chains that you have on the front. I had to cut mine down it was so long. Still not happy with it. I have it ok for now, but have an idea I will do when I can grab the parts I need. The ocd hits hard sometimes.

Yeah my screws/bolts came out of my red hooks on the end and I almost lost one of the hooks in the snow... I ended up just wrapping the chain around the front bumper and ziptie-ing it in place on each end. I then used goop to attach one of the hooks to the tow ring on the front. There has to be a better way though!

I'm in the process of moving all the components over to the red body!! I'm gonna try doing the truck bed mod for the gray one. :)
I just bought the Bronco in Sunset. What an awesome rc vehicle.
That thing is cool
Trailing and filming like a pro! She mountain bikes too! What a great partner she would make or is... for someone younger than myself...
Very nice, I’m saving up to get a TRX-4.
Beautiful spot
Lovely video ! Keep it up !
Nice rc video )
Nice crawling and i like how well placed you keep the camera, nice to see good shots of the rig all the time haha. I read farther down about tow chain bolts voming undone, you can always put some loc-tite on it, that helps a lot on anything metal on metal.

great video
😍😍😍😍
Cool video
Hello miss RC Girl, great video. It's just the way I love it. By the way, can you share to me the title of the first background music in this video? Thanks a ton miss.
Excellent show! Where was your dog!
I’m late to the show but hoping you and people here can help with advice. I’m currently looking at the TRX 4 Blazer and Element Sendero. Price wise the Element wins. Having a tough time deciding as there are now 40 videos out for the Element and plenty on TRX. Thanks in advance.
Yes we (she) can,but hey who can tell me for what is the red bucket? 1:10 ice bucket challenge? Ha ha ha! Nice video.

Verry nice
In the water. Nice terrain and footage. Tranquil. Wonder how the tires fared and bearings.
@RCGirl
6 жыл бұрын
Taped the tire holes so they were nice and sealed. Bearings.. well it's just freshwater and it got a nice rinse and dry by the fire, so hopefully they're OK
@joeddejohn
6 жыл бұрын
By the fire. That is a creative way of doing that. Good idea to tape the holes. When gluing tires don't punch holes, but I'm not racing either. I usually let my bearing go until I have issues. Heh. Wonder if marine grease would work well. Think I saw it in a video a while back. Jang from Ultimate RC had a video on looking after bearings after water running. He did not like the term "waterproof" on the box when he felt the bearings were not.
@RCGirl

Yeah once I got one of my cars TOO close to the fire and the body warped! Whoops. But yeah bearings are sensitive. I'll have to check out his video on looking after bearings. I haven't done a ton of disassembling of this car yet as it's new but I'm sure I'll have to start basic maintenance and upkeep soon.
@joeddejohn

Never had a warped body, but use the CowRC "blower" to blow it off. Bought a heat gun and that comes in handy. Before that used a propane torch for any heating needs such as loosening the red loctite on the engine bolts(nitro). Hopefully you'll be good for a while, but I never ran my buggy through too much water. With this type of vehicle and the terrain it goes through would imagine the manual has something to say about it. Anyway cool you put the vehicle through its' paces especially with the light kit.
@mikes062

Joe DeJohn you could use marine grease or spray wd-40 on them before you go out, that keeps the moisture out too. You can get bearings for like $1 online so it's not that big of a deal to me anyway.
I'm new to the crawling scene, can I ask what the bucket is for that I see on every RC crawler? What do they use it for irl crawling?
Wow congrats on a great video, you really do make good videos, I generally Can’t Stand Anything Slow not even when I’m driving, patience is a virtue (so they say). I had decided I wanted a Traxxas Slash Low profile chassis, but without the daft oba. I had some money coming after Xmas as my Bonus and for some Double shifts, the money was going to be used to buy that, but my Poor Little Cat a 9 year old Bengal needed dental work We didn’t have a clue he had a gum infection he seemed fine . Anyway long story short that’s a £568 vet bill and no Money for a Traxxas now, I found a Hpi Maverick Timberwolf reduces At Modelsport Uk so I bought it , it’s Not too bad quite a powerful motor but I been having trouble with the ESC so I pulled it out and sent it Back , I made a Rather Hasty Crap Video and put it on my Channel , if you care or don’t care , anyway Keep up Videos they are very good. Bye for Now . 👍
Cute addons on top. Is the electronic well protected? The electronics seem that it must be well underwater during one part. Beautiful Photography!
@RCGirl

Yeah it's rated as waterproof. The receiver and servos are in sealed boxes, motor, ESC and light kit are waterproof. Some people say to check on the bearings, but what's the fun in keeping the car out of water?!
@flymario8046

Very nice! Bearings much cheaper than the electronics anyways. :)
Beautiful video RC Girl. What did you shoot this with?

Hey RC Girl my daughter(12) loves your videos, she wanted me to ask how can she get your stickers for her rig? Love your reviews...
Hey we met from instagram ! @trailseekers_rc has liked subscribed to your channel today!!
I need this one at any cost

Super cool video... what a beautiful place!!!! I have come to the decision that I like the silver / gray TRX-4 body better than the red. Great Job!!!!

Haha I know I'm kinda liking it too. It's more authentic looking I suppose. But it is getting heavy with the accessories and light kit...I have a red body on the way so I might modify that one a bit, maybe remove the windows.
It looked real
Track?

RC Girl Sorry about my reply ,, drink and Medication don't mix well for me. You have done an excellent job on showing off the Traxxas , i think you should you get paid or given these models for free to test them out and post your videos on you tube, they are of excellent standard . I'll have to check out your Losi video now. Bye.
Isn't it ironic that we grow up and become adults only to find the need to learn how to crawl. :)
