Mate I'm Italian and have lived in Manchester "only" 15 years now but even I can tell you it's really gone downhill. It breaks my heart too. I thought I could live here until retire but I'm now thinking about going back home before my 40s which is very sad.

Charlie, try not to film people who’ve had breakdowns/ self harmed. It’s a medical emergency at the end of the day which you wouldn’t normally film. You could really make them worse off by filming them.

It's up to Charlie to make that decision as to whether he actually publishes the video. He should always record just in case something happens. But if nothing happens. Or if the content is too personal, then Charlie can just delete the video. Himself. On his own choice. Not based on someone else's feelings. Especially not the police. As for aggravating the situation. The police should be telling the aggressive man that he should shut the eff up unless he wants to be arrested for a public order offence. "The only way to react to being filmed is to wave and say hi mum" 100% this. It amazes me in this day and age do people really not believe they are on 1000s of CCTV cameras all the time. oh and also that thing in your hand tracks your every movement.

Crutchie is an individual whom society has unfortunately let down. It is apparent that he exhibits traits associated with ADHD and quite possibly Bipolar disorder. Happy to see actual police at Piccadilly Gardens. My husband just started work there and has been approached multiple times by drug dealers asking if he wants to buy drugs. Amongst other ongoings daily. Drug users and rough sleepers everywhere. I'm ashamed to show him my city.
