great work. I was a big fan of busy bee when he was young. You failed to mentioned that he was a pure rapper before he started doing crowd pleasing style to get the party active. when with the L brothers ,for example the tape that's on you tube l brothers battle herculean, when he raps on apache. But also why he left leg brothers for good and that's because he wanted to be the head liner or make the decisions according to the master rob words.

One thing about the name "Starski" that IMHO should be mentioned is that it could have been popular because of the famous cop series Starsky & Hutch in the late 70s/early 80s. It was the ultimate urban cops & robbers show (shown in syndication on NYC Channel 5). It had a funky disco theme and soundtrack, violence, Starski (who everyone wanted to be) was the undercover cop who were tracksuits and sneakers while Hutch was more buttoned up conservative. It was the ultimate pseudo blacksploitation crime show and we loved it! In the schoolyard we kids always role played an episode of the show, and everyone wanted to be Starski (not Hutch). So I think the name Starski came from it?

Ok, don't know why folks do this but here we go. Busy Bee was not solo. The first time I saw his name on a flyer he rocked with a dude named Hutch Hutch. Of course they were Starsky and Hutch. They didn't last at all. His record that he rocked most, Scratching. Before scratching was even an art form in the genre. For me when he rocked with the L Brothers is on underground street level when he was at his best. That ambush at Harlem World was just that. I never could fully rock with Kool Moe Dee after that.
