Congratulations on your engagement! There’s so many myths about food, and I have followed/tried all of them! And let me tell you, I now understand, it’s more important to pay attention to calorie input vs output and ALSO how my body feels! I have found that my body (digestion, joint pain from an autoimmune disorder, and skin) feels much better if I have fewer carbs anyways. Also, I limit red meat intake because I’ve realized my arthritic joint pain gets so much more intense when I eat red meat. I eat what makes my body feel good and the quantity of food I eat also makes a huuuugeee difference in my digestion. Feeling good and healthy should be the goal 🙏🏽🫶🏽

Hello, I found your channel via; core strength, stomach vacuum, etc. I stayed to learn about your all in process - what a trip! Your comments in this video about insulin and food fear hit a nerve with me - here’s what I know: Last June I was stuck in a cycle of atrophy and swelling 1.5 years post knee surgery. I caught a TED talk from a obesity & diabetes specialist Dr. Sarah Hallberg. She mentioned a connection between sugar and swelling, and I was willing to try anything to stop icing my knee every night. While the carb crusade seemed un-realistic, I decided to try eliminating the worst offender -processed sugar. Both knees shrunk 1/2” in just two (difficult) weeks without sugar….I have stuck to my elimination of hard sugar (I eat lots of fruit, and politely take bites for others, like birthday cake). 11 months ago I could not mow my lawn or walk 2 mi without the surgical knee swellling. In two weeks I’m starting a job as a tree climbing trainee. After many talks with my doctor I had to stop exercising because my body couldn't handle it anymore. Now I feel so bad when I see others workout. I lost all my muscles. It feels like all my hard work I put in all these years were for nothing. On top of it I deal with other chronic illnesses. It's just a lot at the moment especially. But I love all of your videos. Congratulations! From what I know of him, Jeff is a great guy, I'm a big fan of him and his channel. I do like to eat carbs, too. But I only eat them from Friday to Sunday. They keep me relaxed and make me more sociable. But I don't need them from Monday to Thursday when I'm working alone most of the time. During that part of the week, my metabolism runs fine on (mostly healthy) fats and protein alone. And I really don't care what that kind of eating pattern could be called. It's not fashionable. It's just what works best for me personally. I'm very hesitant to recommend it to someone else.

Thank you for busting the carb myth because I used to be afraid of eating carbs. 50g-70g was my carb intake and must be from "healthy source" and 100g if go crazy lol. because I was little overwight and thought I had insulin resistance (heard from doctor if you have big waist that means you have insulin resistance). yes lost I lost weight but it was hard diet with a lot of restrictions after watching you guys I got back to eating carb and sugar and everything (balanced diet with counting calories). I still losing while gaining muscle and this is crazy ! I won't lie when I eat white rice I feel like im gaing weight because of how insulin spike idea is deep inside me even if it don't actually increased my weight but I will keep goin' no matter what Thank you !
