I think that one in 7 which is a 50% chance of mushroom, star or coin or green shell or banana sometimes. In MKW I think it a 10 to 20% chance to find a star for a leaf pile and maybe the chances are a little different in MK8DX than MKW.

There’s 2. One to the left when entering the Wiggler section and one all the way to the left right before the finish line in the center path with the tree roots

Your "Boo steals Boo" myth was not tested correctly. You can only steal items from people in Front of you and if there is noone with an Item in Front of you (you were First) it Always gives a mushroom instead.

6:40 I can confirm this myth. I play MK7 on the 2ds & play on this map. I ran into a star from the pile one some occasioms but its very rare you run into one

I also play MK7 and the star leaf pile drops stars more often than they do in MKW it’s super rare to find a drop star once or twice like a 10% chance a leaf pile star can happen in a race as so post to MK7 where most common to see on Wii maple treeway.

Some of these myths are only true in the original game they appeared in and NOT Mario Kart 8. For instance Sunset Wilds in Mario Kart Super circuit (GBA) the sky does gradually get darker each lap turning to night but this wasn't carried over into the MK8 version.
