Never knew how spoiled we were until like 2010 I just never thought it was all going to get worse If anything I was expecting newer rappers to progress since they have even more rappers to study etc. Oh well we can always go back to the classics.

In Ireland there was a show called top 40 hits , showed like 5 times a week. Irish ppl have either great taste or awful taste in music...the Theme from the sitcom 'Friends' was number 1 for what seemed like a year. For whatever reason Busta's music resonated with enough Irish people for it to chart and as such have an appearance on top 40 hits, the videos for this and wooha and give me some more blew my mind as a small boy. Maybe it's nostalgia, but I miss music videos like this, maybe the industry post downloads doesnt have the budgets but my goodness busta and hype Williams made some great visual art

This video is NEXT LEVEL even for 2021. He should be getting more credit for being an innovative genius. Missy Elliott names him as one of her biggest influences when it comes to making videos.

Missy wasn't slept on. Same for Busta. It's been years so you don't see/hear anyone talking about it anymore but people knew back then that it was a special time. Same with Luda and OutKast....specifically when talking about music videos but also for anything really they were all good.

I was like 10 years old when I saw this on MTV for the first time and I kept watching MTV each day just to see it/hear it being played again. I was mesmerized. Same time when Prodigy was being played on MTV and I think all of this defined what music I like today. I live in Sweden btw :)

Hey can we talk about how popular it was to randomly yell "fire it up" after this song came out? I miss those days. The late 90's and early 2000's are when Busta was really in his prime.
Ahhhh when rappers actually rapped rather than the new style which is essentially talking over a beat .I miss the old days
I don't know if it was the beats or the flow. All I know is Busta always had us breaking our necks off.

That is true , hip hop and rap used to stand for something and mean something , now we hear and see nothing but wack heads , the only three true artists that i could mention from the younger generation are Hopsin , NF , Russ and that's it. There are few others i can mention but they're not from the states. Not to mention that the three of them are not signed with any record label and they're completely independent , that's to be fair enough and truth be told

This reminds me of one of those carefully shot sci - fI films of the era of the 90's where they used produce an ample of things and imagery as much as a natural scenery in contrast to today's video clips which rely too much the wonders of cameras than on natural talent and directorship.

I just wish todays Rap was more like this (with good portion of uplifting humor). The 90s really was the last decade of Rap before it became 1661% commercialized, dead and boring. The Knight Rider Sample turned it into such a great Sci-Fi track and it's just awesome. When it came out back in 1998 i was instantly hooked and loved it. And i still love it a lot. The energy in this track is just intense!!!

There was an explicit version released on a single but even that is rare. I found the clean version at K-Mart around 1999 because I had When Disaster Strikes but it only had the original version “Turn it Up”.
