Bushcraft WINTER CAMPING Alone Build WARM SNOW Shelter WOODSTOVE Inside SNOWFALL & Cowboy Steak ASMR
Ойын-сауық
No talking ASMR version I head out solo winter camping in deep snow to go winter bushcraft camping. I build a natural warm survival shelter with snow and branches. I use my woodstove inside the snow shelter to keep warm. I set up a nice bushcraft camp, cut dome fire wood and do some cooking of steak, chili, bacon, eggs sausage and brew cowboy coffee. I enjoy my morning cowboy coffee in a winter wonderland and share all meals with my dog Bella. I use a wool blanket, boughs and a -30 sleeping bag to stay warm along with my woodstove fire and warm shelter, we manage to stay warm in the winter cold.

Would be cool, to have an improvised door/removable cover for the cold opening, making it cozier!

Even here in Rome, we usually go on trips, in winter, with a small wood stove in our backpack... every Saturday and Sunday...
My master works hard to keep us warm! I love him!!

Love that dog and agree the shelter would be dripping like crazy
I wish we would had those stoves back when I was young. Awesome idea 💡
Nice setting. It looked actually warm and comfy like a small igloo.
Greetings, Im in my 70s I live on my reservation in South Dakota. When I was young running snare/trap lines i would often have to spend winter nights out in the wild. I always had a sled and a large buffalo robe which kept me snug with two candles. Id leave the snow(cold) out of it, if your shelter gets warm you get rained on? Use the energy for pine boughs above and below, clean out the ground as good as possible. Ohan Mitakuyaoyasin (we are all related)
Love the idea, and snow shelters have been around a long time adding a backbone to it just seems to make it work where you not in the coldest of weather.. thank you for letting us see your hard work, easy to talk shit to someone when you on your couch in a warm house.. but when you out there to survive for life, who knows what will work and what will not.. but at least this work and if I had no place to live I be really happy to have a great place like this to keep warm in… snow one of the best things to build a warm place to keep warm with-in the walls … thank you.. for showing us how we could have live … without being inside a house…
Cutest dog on KZread! ❤
you have to be WIPED out after a day like that! And THANK YOU for looking after your beautiful pup like that

Thanks Pete. Was a lot of work but worth it
Hope you put some branches out there for the dog to lay on and keep warm.
After years of watching other bushcrafters, this man is one of the few that are inspiring. Tiger Ted, The Red Haired Giant, The Crimson Chin. This guy makes good content and has a genuine likeness.
Sensational bushcraft shelter…your camera work is top notch! Thank you for taking us along on your adventure
Another fabulous adventure of a guy and his dog in the snowy deep woods. *_Gotta love a guy who feeds his doggy from his own plate!_*

Thank you for this video. Looks like you had a great campout. That shelter looks like it would serve very well for an extended stay in very cold (below freezing) weather.
A most realistic shelter for snowy weather.. Gonna watch it a few times. Lot of lessons...mostly patient building with whatever is available.. Many thank & best wishes 👍

Hi Ted & Bella, You get a stick she gets a stick, you dig in the snow she digs in the snow! Dogs provide heat for any shelter. If I’m cold I ask my dog to warm me up! She’s usually near me snoring like a bear but will move by crawling next to my torso with a goofy look on her face. Man’s best friend or mankind’s is so true. Love that saw! I was looking forward too another build and that boulder will heat up and reflect heat towards you, really nice! Do you think your dog tasted the food first or like my dog just gulped it down and taste it later lol

@@TedBairdShorts I never miss your videos and I remember you and your brother on alone!! My wife and I like that show. Ever going to do the show again or that experience was enough. It would have been enough for me. I have a Lab x pitbull and she’s black and white with the white mostly on her chest. Sweetest and the smartest dog I’ve ever had or trained. She’s had cancer twice with meds and surgery and I had the down payment for a new truck but it all went towards her treatments and surgery. Prescription food and allergy meds she gets year round. Gets skin infections all the time and she will be four in October! She ( Ellie Mae ) because she’s a southern Gal. She went from Texas to Massachusetts to my home. She is spoiled by everything one..
That's all very cool but do that up here in greenland where it's -52c with no wood anywhere. That will really impress me and my wife and 4 year old where we do it frequently with no stove and only a pint pot and a pack of cold weather matches
@TedBairdShorts

Nice! Ya, a stove isn't needed. Quinzhee or actual igloo can get quite warm inside with body heat and a mere candle if were talking natural shelters. Never camped in -52 coldest I've camped was -40. I'd imagine things get interesting in Greenland. I have traveled from Tulita NWT to Ulukhaktok NWT Canada in winter, across Great Bear Lake and, Northwest Passage, camping the whole way, however -35 was the coldest during that expedition.
ワンちゃん、可愛すぎ。
I keep watching your series Ted…I have them almost memorized…I may not comment very often….but I study your actions with things…..I do see why I was putting my start- fires out on many occasions…I suffocated them… loaded too much material on embers and choked the young fire out I value the “bone structure” of your igloo-like shelter….the tried and true ancient Eskimo shelter…

Thx Bro
I'd build my snow-shelter with the floor above the top of the doorway, meaning a slanted entrance. Then I wouldn't need a stove. Body heat alone will keep it above freezing inside, so you have to shape the ceiling so the melt runs down the walls and out the door instead of dripping on you.
Best Life 👍

@@TedBairdShorts I just watched it, yes your plan made sense, it looked a lot colder on the video
Why wouldn’t it all collapse inward given the heat from the fire? Perfect snow, not fluffy, nice and packable. That’s a mighty nice doggie. I have to say after watching this, I’m exhausted from all that effort and hauling the gear. I’m going to sit out in my back yard, light a tiny fire and after resting, retire to a nest I made of blankets on my bed. Man, I’m bushed!!
