Wooly my main man... How do these compare to the haix cold wet weather boots.. I'm really tempted to buy a pair... Seriously my military boot addiction is never ending... I love them....

I love meindel boots.. My favourite are meindel Island boots the military version... I've heard the soles do disintegrate something to do with the rubber.... But your can get them resoled....

Does the GORE-Tex not kill your feet with sweat? Have you ever tried Vivobarefoot? Different take on boots . I have a pair of Tracker FG. Really comfy, but I wouldn’t chainsaw in them…

Never tried them, I've heard a lot of bad points, I need waterproof boots, if I'm in them all day and longer dry feet is essential

How is the sizing on these? True to UK? My Lowa Mountain boots were way too big. I went to UK 9.5 when I am a 10 and probably could have gone 9 but they had no waterproof liner so maybe thats a factor.

I went a half size up and they fit great

I saw a pair brand new for £349 which seems a bit excessive So ai researched and found a used pair for £59.95 eBay,What's more they're practically New with a very little use So well Chuffed. One thing to Note: They're military boots So the outer soles are hard wearing and heavier than a Meindl hiking boots which I also have.

I don't do bushcraft but i shoot. I once bought a new pair of harkilas that fell to bits after 18 months or so. After watching some of your videos and others too i bought a pair of haix ecw boots off ebay for about 30 quid. I'll never buy new boots again. As a footnote my lad and missus also have a pair of haix. For all 3 of us it cost about 100 quid.

Excellent stuff, hard to beat good boots

Are these boots good for winter? It gets -10 C here. And what if i wear them in the summer (30-40 C)

I have worn them in snow once and they were fine but we don't get -10 here so I don't know how they would be

Sad to say it but suddenly the sole of the boots will pulverise. I have two pair of Meindl boots that I cant use because of the sole turned into dust. But before that happend my performance where my favorite. Lundhags is my absolutely favorite boot.

@@RedBranchBushcraft first pair performance I bought was in 2007. It happen 2016. Last pair I bought 2016 and they broke down 2019. Very nice boots when they are ok but I cant rely on them. What would I have done if I where on a hike and the sole pulverise. Meindl are aware about this problem and they have an aftermarket support taking care of this problem. But a very expensive solution. But paying what you paid for the boots you cant loose. But be aware of this problem

Cheers buddy, these are my third pair of meindl's I've never had an issue with the soles yet, I'm still wearing all 3 , fingers crossed

@@RedBranchBushcraft that's the key you can't really store them away.. As long as you keep wearing them they are fine.. The rubber needs to flex...
