From Season 4 Episode 15, House's Head,
Unable to clearly recall the events leading up to the crash due to his head injuries, House is convinced through his flashbacks a fellow bus passenger is exhibiting signs of a deadly illness prior to the crash. Much to the team's dismay, House pushes through the pain of his injuries, desperate to piece together the fragments of his shattered memory in order to save someone who might not even know he could be dying. And once he learns the truth, he and his team are left shellshocked when it's discovered that Amber Volakis, Wilson's girlfriend is the one who's dying.

Probably the most accurate heroic malpractice moment of the show I've seen so far.
I feel like Wilson never gave enough credit to House for the amount of sheer effort he put into saving his girlfriend.. even if it was technically his fault they got injured

I love how House blocks the door, only after everyone else BUT 13 exits. He knew he needed her. Not because she'd just do what he was telling her to do, but because he knew she would logically think it through, quickly enough, to consider he was right, and trust him enough, and see that there was enough evidence, to know that he was right. (Also, she's one of the few people in the room, to risk disobeying Cudey's orders.)
What’s amazing is that even with a brain injury, House can Still diagnose correctly. 13 risked her career because she believed him. (Sorry, Dr. Hadley!!)

I feel like House. . . . I instantly heard Cuddey say 'Dr.Hadley', and my instant reaction was to ask who the hell that was!? Oh. . . . . she means 13! (*stage whisper* Her actual last name isn't 13!? 🤨) 😋
I like how the tension with House urging Thirteen to "make a decision" subtly paves way for Thirteen's own character development towards the end of the episode.

Keep in mind he falsely quarantined the ER to trap people in there and then proceeded to rely on drug-induced hallucinations to help him solve the case. Even if you believed in House's genius, it would not be unreasonable to assume he got brain trauma
Love the bus scene. Its a nod to the fact house is inspired by sherlock. The whole bus scene is just a mind palace reference. I wish they did more of these sherlock references
@CharlieQuartz

The original Sherlock Holmes never had a mind palace. It was an invention of the Sherlock series to be a visually compelling “thought process” narrative device. The closest reference Holmes makes is to his “brain attic” but it’s purely a metaphor for the limited space he wanted to devote to necessary information, dumping facts unimportant to him like how many planets were in the solar system. Given that this episode of House aired two years before Sherlock, it’s not a reference to the original material or the show. “Mind palaces” have been used in media for decades so it was probably inspired by other television or film sources.

@@anth__onyHouse was inspired by Sherlock but there are significant differences even beyond the one being a doctor and the other being a detective. While both are heavy drug users House is constantly taking Vicodin for his pain even while solving cases while Holmes would inject heroin and/or cocaine but only to occupy his mind when he had no case or study to stimulate it. Holmes would be lethargic, bored and miserable when he has no case but when he had a case he would be awake for days and manic without using any drugs. Also Holmes didn’t seem to care if he got credit for solving his cases and would even laugh at the articles where the police took credit while House wants the recognition and credit for his achievements. House has a bum leg in the series while Holmes is healthy, meanwhile Wilson is healthy but his counterpart Watson was shot in the war and has the injury (it switches from his leg to his arm depending on which story you read). While nobody knows everything House is portrayed as being very knowledgeable in many areas that have nothing to do with his profession while Holmes only allowed room in his memory for things he thought would assist him in his cases, as someone mentioned above he didn’t know how many planets are in the solar system or that the earth orbits the sun and when Watson told him this he said he would promptly forget it as he found the information to be useless for his profession. There’s many more differences but these are some of the big character based ones outside of the obvious like living in different countries and time periods, different names and hobbies etc. As for the “mind palace” the main reference I know regarding this is from the Hannibal series as Hannibal Lector would use this technique, not saying that is where it originated but he explicitly mentions it in the series even calling it the “mind palace” and that’s where I first heard of it.

There are a lot of Sherlock references. They both live at 221B Baker Street. House's patient in the 1st episode is "Rebecca Adler", a nod to Sherlock's "Irene Adler". Wilson also makes a reference in a later episode to Irene Adler as the one who got away for House (it's a story he made up but was a nod to Sherlock). An episode had a patient where an itchy foot was a symptom and House wrote on an envelope "The game is a itchy foot", a nod to Sherlock's "The game is afoot." Wilson is also like Watson. There are many more parallels.
