Every single piece of litter is a person who doesn't give a shit. If I lived in those houses by the path I would clean up, despite how frustrated the littering would make me. People don't have any pride in their surroundings any more. Thanks for cleaning up Chilli.

I agree with you to a point. I believe people don't have a clue what they are doing to the environment. They have been doing this for decades. Kind of monkey see, monkey do mentality. By leading an example of litter picking, some people will get the idea and others will follow. All of you that pick up litter, thank you so very much.👍👍👍👍👍

It happens in the States also. There are too many nasty people that don't use trashcans they throw their trash as they walk along. Getting worse with so many immigrants coming and doing the same thing they did in their countries. I volunteer and pick up trash in different areas. Use a rake next time it's a lot easier.

I do not am not from the UK but thank you for caring about how your community looks. Really is heartwarming to watch. I like litter picking also because I have a lot of fun doing it in general and I feel good after!

i always enjoy seeing you turn in the vapes at the end, so thank you for including that. i've been surprised to find out recently how many people don't know that those shouldn't go in regular trash, even among educated people.

Just litter picked today, not much however, about two buckets. What you have to deal with is scary indeed.

I pick up neighborhood litter as well , always stuff around the bus stops .

What a roller coaster of an episode, finding the brush, whipping out a secret mini rake and then the heart stopping moment where the brush broke!! I sometimes wonder how a faceless man picking up trash and beeping at cars as become my most anticipated video drop off the week. 😆 but I love it! My son asked me today "do we ever get to see his face" I shook my head... "no son never..." Monday I do my induction with the council so I can start litter picking myself... my husband thinks I am crazy 😆😆

Here in the US the nicest and cleanest towns are those where they have contracted out this type of maintenance to private landscaping companies.

I volunteer picking up trash in my city. What some businesses do is they have people mow their property, but papers aren't picked up. This causes small pieces of paper that have to be collected and it's so time consuming. Great Job!!!

But imagine all the work at the computer: getting the footage transferred and then editing 😐. Depending on the already filmed footage you can easily spend 5-8 hours working at the computer for editing, that's why I'm not creating content... Chilli 🌶️ is a really hard working guy, respect 👍

I sit back and wonder, did littering massively increase when the UK decided it was a good idea to let in countless foreign born or could it be that those born in the UK just stopped caring?❓ Littering 🚯 is another example of what I call "borrowed behavior". Littering is an offence but they get away with it so perhaps the Council could put a litter tax on their bills and enforce fines for littering. What would you suggest is the answer ?

I could be wrong, but in America I don't think Vape users are littering them. 🚭🚬 I just don't notice them. I do see a lot of litter outside of stores, such as Dollar Tree. ❤ It's so nice to see somebody on KZread cleaning 🧹 public spaces! Thank you!! Now some landscapers need to cut the forgotten grass. Unfortunately I occasionally find vape cartridges and complete vapes while litter picking in Pennsylvania. I wish they were recyclable here.

I started off thinking it was a bit strange that you were trying to sweep off the top, but after seeing just how much little stuff there was I'm sure you saved a massive amount of time doing it that way. I have taken notice where bins are supplied, when those bins get filled people just throw it on the ground instead of taking it home with them! Proof also that people have not educated their children to not litter! Over time those children grew up snd had children of their own, all litterbugs!

@geminix5715 he does not do much but one of the ward councillors for the town goes out most mornings and checks the streets and reports flytips and accumulation of rubbish our council cannot keep up that area is really bad, so it's thanks to Chilli and other vols that try their best to keep the environment tidy

Question. In my city Anchorage Alaska, company's will designate a certain part of a highway, as their employee project to clean and keep clean. The city will usually erect a sign along that stretch of highway with a sign that says which company is responsible for cleaning up that street / highway. Does your city do anything similar?

Seeing you use that little rake and the broom makes me think you should be allowed to do the same every where….. Use a three pronged hook/rake to pull out the rubble and be permitted to bag the grass, leaves and little twigs that come with each rake-full! The counsel needs to buy you a backpack vacuum to clean up cigarette butts and bottle caps and as much of the cans and bottles as possible…. And leaves etc that comes with it! Stairs are disgusting!!!!

It's a good idea, but with Anchorage having a population of 291,247 at the 2020 census vs. London's 8.9 million it's not really comparable. I'm sure they could organise more local ones, in fact I saw a video last year of an area like this doing a big community clean up, but for it to be done across the entire city simultaneously would be pretty unfeasible.

@@amandak.4246 I'm living in Germany 🇩🇪 where you get back the deposit of 25 cents per can or bottle (one way use) at a machine always located inside or even close to a grocery store where you can get your money back showing the receipt. I already cashed in 15 items today. No doubt everyone who's spending the deposit of 25 cents when buying a drink wants to get it back 🔙. So you barely see cans and bottles in the landscape, parks or on the street.
