This video is a very detailed breakdown of what it costs me cost to live in a skoolie / converted school bus full-time while I am parked for 9 months out of the year.
If you're considering downsizing into a converted bus, a converted van, or a tiny house, this video can hopefully help you get an idea about the cost of living that comes with this minimal lifestyle. The cost of living in a bus is very different from person to person. I am quite fortunate that our permanent location is incredibly affordable and we got a really good deal on our insurance as well. However, being a student has also given me a bit of debt that I'm working on paying off. Overall, for the part of the country I am living in, my cost (even with my $800 a month payment towards my debt) is far less than renting an apartment of owning a home.
